I don't release half assed work (I quadruple checked this)...  But mistakes do happen.  So if something doesn't work right or is wrong, let me know  8-)
 
Please note, if using new PC game (2012), select that option in the installer.
MAKE SURE TO INSTALL TO THE PATH YOUR FF7.exe or ff7_**.exe is in.
IF IT SAYS NEW FOLDER IN THE PATH, DELETE IT.
THE PATH MUST BE EXACT.
 
Installed it with the new PC release (though honestly I just installed it into a new folder and copy/pasted into the ogg_music folder so I could preview the alternate tracks from the ones you included and weed out the ones I'm not fond of) and it's working fine so far. Only one very minor, 100% trivial issue: it installed an empty folder titled "Ficedula" for some odd reason.

I'll let you know if any issues pop up as I play, but so far so good. Thanks again for all the hard work, much appreciated!
 
yeah ficedula is a folder that is used for old ff7, but it doesnt get deleted for some reason, even though all the files inside it do.  I think it is because it is in use when my bat file tries to remove it.  I knew this problem existed, but thought fuck it.  It is extremely minor.
 
The following is the ogg's of the OST only (no fan made stuff or anything else) in a folder ready for manual placement into ogg_music folder in new ff7 pc.

I would be grateful if someone would torrent the zip file.  No altering the zip file.  Just torrent it :)
When it is torrented let me know so I can remove this.

Hey DLPB thanks for the release, I think most are fixed from what I've checked. I just checked ob.oog though and it has no LOOP in it.
 
I have no idea how that has happened.  It WAS there.

seems ob has somehow had its loopstart removed.  I am getting mighty pissed off now at things like this happening.

I will sort it. 

Anxious Heart is down until it is fixed.  ob is the only one with a problem.  A problem I have no explanation for other than something out there likes to get a laugh at fucking with my mind.

I am used to pressure, but I am sick of taking every step possible... and then ONE error at the end that cannot be undone without a reupload. That's what is annoying :)  And this file was working fine yesterday.  Today, the loopstart tag has mysteriously vanished!  Hasn't vanished from any other though.  So why this one?  Was it special in some way, or is this just to piss me off?

It is back now though.  Upload on its way.

This installer is now removed and unsupported.  Please wait for the new version which will be compatible with latest Aali's driver and will no longer use ff7music.

The zip file has been edited.  The readme has been removed.

Please torrent the zip file as was requested, with the readme intact :)  And delete the torrent you have uploaded.

I appreciate the help but I need it to be the original whole zip file.  Not individual files.

There you have it. Also It seems Ficedula Music is not responding or reading any of the files for me, a am running on admin mode.

Did you select old ff7 when installing for your old ff7 game?  It reads them fine here?  Covarr is the man to ask there though, if theres something amiss he will know :)

Ahem NOPE! Covarr FF7 music works 100%. Yours only seems to play the midi no matter what option... I'm guessing it a root folder problem.


EDIT: Wait no. It seems to be working now. that's weird... I need sleep.

I would like to thank everyone  for making this. Square-Enix did a very lazy job with the music of the re-release. Before that I had assembled the ultimate gaming PC of 1998 and it included an AWE32 card with enough RAM to load de 4 MB soundfont so I could get the lb2_awe.mid played.

When I read the new release had OGG I thought Square did exactly what you just have done, but alas, they grabbed the MIDIs, the Microsoft Synthesizer and just recorded that over OGG files. How very unprofressional for such a big company, considering they have the resources to do it right.

Thanks again, and I'll keep seeding the torrent so more people can enjoy the game with good music.
