Inf/Max GP not working in Kranmer's Trainer 0.7.1 (FF7)

Having some trouble getting max GP from the trainer :'(

Every time I press the corresponding keys Q+5 it seems to work in game.
It gives me like 65505 or something GP.

Thing is if I want to spend it on something, it always says I don't
have enough GP.
I even tried buying a Potion for 1GP and still the same results.

Any idea on how to fix this?

Max GP is 10000, and maybe anything over that makes it overflow. Maybe you were talking about BP? Because these become invalid when you leave the battle arena.

It can't overflow at 10000 because that's not a variable limit. The reason for it is likely an overflow but past 65535 even though it is capped at 10000.  Depends what the trainer is doing.  I haven't really looked at Kranmer's trainer in that dept.

I'm positive it's the max GP I'm trying to get, not BP.

I've tried many basic troubleshooting such as saving the game and restarting,
as well as trying to earn additional GP at the Wonder Square which results
in the GP resetting to the amount that I win.

I don't know what else to do.
Any help would be fantastic.  :-D

Are you using the trainer on a clean install, or do you have mods applied? If you have mods, try on a clean install, without mods. Some mods alter the .exe and so make it invalid. Also do you use 1998 or 2012 version?

Ah, I see that might explain a little...

I'm using the 2012 version from the square store.
Though I followed Tifa's Bootleg and followed the steps to covert it
back to the 1998 version (Kranmer's Converter).

As for mods,

I hardly  even remember, I just recently found out about FF7 modding
in general off a YouTube video from EQ2Alyza and found my way here.
Though through common sense, I believe I have plenty of mods installed
because I basically followed the Tifa's Bootleg tutorial spot on.
I don't really know how to check if I do, since I basically just wanted to play
the game and just followed the steps without much realization.

I am not sure which version of my trainer is in bootleg (i don't use bootleg) but awhile ago i did release a fix for the problem with GP (i am not sure if i released it publicly, i may have only released it privately), the problem was with the max number of GP can only be half of FF FF so i fixed it (it displays the higher value but doesn't work), try this version and let me know how you get on.

The new trainer that you uploaded fixed the problem.
It now gives me 32750 GP.
Most importantly, I can actually spend it and it still stays infinite.
