team avalanche does a graphical overhaul of the game.
that obviously includes the models.
why would you try to ressurect an old project whose purpose is already inegrated in a running project?
Oh, so, okay then. I didn't noticed TA took this project at some point already. Coz I have been observing this mods progress but it seems that it already halted at some point. That's why Im asking if this will be completed or not. So your saying that TA is responsible for the continuation of this mod? And I can see that TA is working on Battle Reconstruction and such, not the actual field model that PRP does. Sorry if I'm not that updated here anymore, but I'll try to read alot of posts so that I'll be more aware of whats happening around here.
TA is involved with remaking all graphical aspects of the game. Including field models. Take a look at the bombing mission thread for pictures of an updated wedge.
Half of this mod was finished long before Avalanche came about as a significant modding community, and the job that is done here is pretty good. I don't know if Avalanche plan on changing all the NPC models etc, but perhaps they are using these models too if so? There is nothing wrong with them.
I saw the thread about the bombing mission. And the models look really good! So I asume that you will be redoing all NPC models? Including those who have been redone by PRP?
Wow, okay then. Thats great news. I'll just keep an eye on TA's progress. Btw, how do you plan on releasing the Project? By mission? CD? or is it a one big mind blowing release of the whole thing?
Right now by mission. But most likely in the end it will be by type of mod. Battle Model Pack, Field Model Pack, Battle Backgrounds, Field Backgrounds, GUI, Minigames.
Oh. I see. Hmm. This is getting interesting. Is there a video or something that lets us view the progress on that part of the game? Coz I love to see how that thing will turn out.
i was looking at the char.lgp of PRP...
and they've got about 106 models to go to finish this thing(NPC only +some char models e.g barret with navy suit)..yes.ive checked all the .hrc files. though there's room for error.
now if you look at it positively,
if someone can do 10 models per week(just using kimera) this mod can be completed within 2 to 3 months...
XD im just saying..
i actually love all the models in PRP.They are actually done well.i know i like chibi too but the model in PRP is still considered amazing.its a rather big feat to pull this off
i was looking at the models one by one and i thought..."how did they do that???I thought this was just done with Kimera"
I'm going to go ahead and lock this poor thread. It's full of repetitive questions that only serve to make finding answers about the NPCRP / PRP that much more difficult. If anyone in the future would like to pick up on this project, please start your own thread...browse through the various links and commonly answered questions...and make them part of your first post.
Locked
but may be unlocked in the future!! ::dramatic drumroll::
That's one model down I'm gonna work on 10 models now to bring the model count
that's not completed in PRP from 106 to 96 models
If i reach that goal then maybe i do another 10 models.(you get the idea?its like not to bite more than you can chew kind of thing)
I'll just focus 10 models by 10 models .
So this are the 10 models that i intend to work on.(models named after it's hrc skeleton files)
