can someone help me with moddding?

cool well it looks like u know what ur doing really....
basically every model has different parts like there head , torso, waist, etc
find out what these individual files are called for rufus and then replace the same corisponding file for cloud ..simple
then just reposition the parts to the right place
 
i would much rather have this than Rufus..............

as u can see ive placed clouds hands further apart
and i have made the sword quite a bit bigger as i prefer the look

all i have to say is well done APZ freak and millenia on there fantastic work, keep it up guys

i prefer APZ freak's cloud to its just my friend really wanted rufus and he asked me to do it today after i started modding. but i couldnt get him n battle. and i still cant.  T_T it crashed when i tried doing it but i WILL figure it out.

i accually know the files your talking about. O.o they are the .p files. they are right after the ppl .hrc file.
 
yes the .p files

so if u open the .hrc of rufus and double click on his head it will tell u in the top left corner what this .p file is called
copy and paste this file to ur desktop or whereva then open clouds .hrc find out what the .p file is called for his head and then rename the .p of rufus's head to the same name as clouds head then put this file back into ur battle.lgp and copy and replace.. then do this for all of there parts

i just got it to work. but  he uses clouds sword still and still isnt perfect but it will be when i get it to work.

well then the only real way ur gonna b able to do this is by editing vincent instead of cloud.......

i did want him to use the sword. but later when i start the mod that changes the main characters to the turks + rufus + shinra soldiers im gonna make rufus be vincent. rude would be tifa. and so on and so forth.

well.. its gonna b challenging cause idk who to replace with everyone. and idk how to change text with loveless or cosmo. so far with the rufus mod, it looks all good except while in the battle, his eyes aren't always there, his lips are sometimes blue(note that my moniter sucks with the color so it could just b me), and when you use magic/when a battle the left arm gets deattached.

EDIT:

ok. so far i have replaced biggs field model with a soldier. same with jessie and wedge. president shinra is replaced with Zack, Rufus with Cloud, Vincent with Rufus, turks vincent with rufus. if you have any ideas about who should replace who plz post. after i finish i will post pics, and release it.

And the animations looked weird.

There are some other interesting looking FF7 projects there. I wonder how many of them will get finished? :-D
 
ok, well.. im just wondering.. how do you put AC, CC, DoC, or Dissidia battle/field models in the game. i would like to play as them instead of the lego like pplz. i would release it too, unless it was illegal.. then no. thanks  :wink:
