Latest version of Mozilla (well, not just the latest either) is more compliant to the HTML standards than IE ... just most people either don't know about NS, or can't be bothered when IE comes with Windows.

Of course, those of us who have to use non-MS operating systems don't get the choice of using IE, so I'm glad there's at least one viable alternative

(NB: In one of the modules last year, we had to write a web page that displayed fine in *Lynx*. I mean, that is fairly extreme compatibility ... but our lecturer liked Lynx, so...)

Heh, actually that avatar of mine is a picture of some random SWAT officer in training.

I also use NS6.1, and yeah, I can't get the "Instant Smiles" to work either. In fact, nothing on the "Post" page works except the "Submit" and "Cancel Post" buttons!
And let's try not to get into a "browser" war here. I hate those.

i like 'saint's temp theme'   it reminds me of my old board.

Not yet. But what you could do is (In Internet Explorer) go to View --> Text Size and choose Largest which will make the text bigger. Just wait 'till Qhimm complete the final design of the board. He said it was gonna be bigger then.

but then it may be because I have a 21 inch monitor at 1024x768 resolution

I have a 14" moniter, 10 years old, 800x600, its a pile of sh*t. But I'm fine with the small text. I prefer it to the big text cos it looks neater.

I actually think the bigger text looks neater, but I guess it's all a matter of preference . . .

The bigger text does look better on my main monitor, but then that's only 15" so either is fine ... my secondary monitor is 17" (whoo! multimonitor!) so small text is pushing it a bit on that ^_^

(Yes, there IS a reason the bigger monitor isn't the primary one...)

just btw: what means 'sticky^' in name of this forum ? I have seen it also in name of next forum.

Means the topic always stays at the top of the list, regardless of whether it's actually the newest topic.

It's a pretty good way of posting announcements in a normal forum, since otherwise they'd tend to get lost among normal traffic...

hey fice, how do you do that in windows? or do they show the same thing?
