Likelihood of FF7 Remake PC release?

Almost certain. They're avoiding the term "timed exclusive", but all the verbal dancing they've done suggests that's exactly what they're doing. And PC has been a really important platform for FF the last few years.
 
100%, only question is how long after the console release. This game was a huge investment, anyone interested in it who owns a console will likely get it in the first 6 months, SE doesnt have an exclusivity deal with either console manufacturer, only a possible on console first agreement and most importantly they would lose a massive amount of money by not brining it to pc at some point not too long after console sales have dropped significantly due to market saturation, and any large publicly traded company doesnt make financially detrimental decisions like that.

I think it will be exclusive for the PS4 for a few more months after PS5 has been released. It would be a great exclusive title to have in the launch portfolio.
 
Thats a pretty good point I didnt think of although it goes hand in hand with the 6 months anyway considering the release date of the remake and the ps5 release, but yeah True it will likely stay exclusive until a bit after ps5 launch.

It will likely follow the Final Fantasy 15 formula. First out on Playstation and then after getting a few solid updates and DLCs, the full package will come out for PC. Expect to wait a long time though, at least 6 months if not over a year.
 
Worst-case scenario, they won't release the game on PC until all the episodes are released (which, sadly, I think is very likely). So, it could take a while to finally play this on PC.

What worries me is that they've shown nothing but stuff that happens at Midgar so far. I wonder if this is just to avoid spoilers or if the entirety of the first episode takes place in Midgar.

Pretty sure they said at the e3 press conference that the entirety of the first game will be Midgar.

Is this true? I'm having a hard time believing that's the case, because that's only a small portion of the first disc (not nearly enough content). Unless there's a major rewrite going on and they'll move most of the stuff that happens in disc 1 to Migdar (which makes zero sense).
 
The Hobbit is also a small book and they made 3 full movies out of it. Same procedure here.
