KH Cid is a very different art style though, it's designed to be more cartoon like.

He does need some of stubble though, helps with making someone look a bit older..

Body yes, but his face looks almost identical to the original style, exept his cigar that was changed on toothpick.
 
It's all about lightning and face texture if you ask me.
Put him a mean face and some wrinkles and he's top notch.
 
Maybe add some type of oil smudged on his face, assuming he was working on his airship/rocket. Just a thought. :)
 
Maybe when you Cid is done he will want to fly around in this highwind (WIP).  :wink:

Maybe putting facial hair will fix the age think? and a darker tone on his hair and skin as well. What do you think??
 
I hope this cids in the next bootleg, thatd be freaking sweetttttt! I want to learn how to make models like this but i just dont know where to even start. I feel like I could do well as im an art major
 
Never know guys reducing the lighting might make him look older, he probably looks young:
1. because of lack of facial hair
2. because in that light he looks like a cartoon.
Really is great to see someone doing a character other than Cloud, Aeris, Barret or Vincent.
 
I was thinking the same.
Make it darker and his skin will take less of a pink tinge, and hir hair will be more ruddy. Should be fine with the concept's stubble (:
(oh, any chance you could make the cigarette look more like the concept one? all crumpled and battered lookin?)
 
Redone ice2 cause the model was kinda shitty even with texture

I'll release the magic mod after I finish my first university (too busy now). It'll be in march)
