Try experimenting with the true motion video codec ( See miracle.flames' guide ).. I know this is an old solution but at least you have your options..
In fact I'm still using it right now in my laptop... but nowadays pips are saying its not needed but who knows ..It might help ya out....
 
Ok, I've officially tried everything and nothing works. Is there any chance that someone could just try and play through the save? Or even if someone has a save at the second part of Cloud's flashback that would work.
 
well... this thread was updated like super long long ago... but I still want to take the chance...

Im also having the problem with the waterfall scene in the forgotten city... can someone please load my saved game and just pass through that scene?? it would be a great help...
