If they HAVE been online, then they still are. But it should be the hell harder to find them now...

well if it anywahere i'd bet morpheous would be a good place to look. and you better hurry as morpheous is going to be shut down soon. if no one noticed this month there was an article in time about it and how it's now getting the attention of the major corporations. so if you really want something i would suggest you get it SOON.... anyway if you guys want a link to article, as i'm gonna go look for it myself ni'll put a url in here.

{Several stories have been printed, leading with a story that was printed in the BBC Online, reporting a security leak in Morpheus. The report is not true - The report of a security hole in Morpheus is FALSE.

THIS REPORT IS FALSE

·   The report was allegedly made by an “anonymous” security consultant. Neither this consultant nor any others have contacted StreamCast directly to report a breach in security.

·   Several false postings have been made on behalf of StreamCast and Morpheus. One was reported by a source named Paul Sarsfield, who claimed to be a “Morpheus” employee. StreamCast does not employ any person by that name, nor have any StreamCast employees or company representatives posted any responses to this matter.

·   There has never been a security breach in Morpheus since its introduction in April 2001.}

Well, okay, they files should be up then. I'm sure they are. It is just a matter of time and patience to find something on the net.
Fact is: You can find almost *everything* on the internet ... you just have to search... probably very long?

BTW: Possibly I'll be able to test our School-DSL connection tomorrow :naughty:

That statement was made just to assure people that using Morpheus is safe.  I don't know how long it will stay around, but as soon as the spotlight is pointed directly at them, it won't be around for long.

The spotlight's been on Morpheus for months. It was supposed to be going down in Decemeber ... except it didn't. I'm sure it'll go down eventually, but there's been plenty of scares already.
 
i personally perfer WinMX....... the user interface isnt as friendly, but downloads dont screw up as much, and i dont think theyve even seen the spotlight.
 
Morpheus has been looked at and talked about for awhile, but not to the extent that Napster was at its prime.  Once every station on TV starts having discussions about Morpheus, then its going to be a goner.

i've been looking of morpheous and altavista do far. but no luck
 
I want them too. Idea! Has anyone e-mailed Square and asked them? I like 3d models. They are cool. I found some nice remakes in progress at  Elemental Battle Grounds . If you find anything, drop me a line at  [email protected] . Maybe you could make a request there for the Ragarnok or however you spell it...

sfx1999: Square wouldn't give them to us... not for free. I guess it'd be cheaper to hire some russian hackers to hack into Square's Servers... just kidding...

the cloud model at elemental battle grouns looks good.... except the head and neck.
 
ahlexx: i'm not sure a russian hacker could do it. i think his fingers would be too cold to type.

that cloud model look great, except the back of the head needs some work. *starts feeling obsolete* i wish i could 3d model like that.... :weep:
