A little help please

Hey dudes! I need some help concerning FF8 and Windows 2000. I ran the game on Windows 2000 and kept getting a message to insert Disk 1. I then installed the GeForce patch v1.2, instead of the message I keep receiving a black screen. Do any of you guys know how to run FF8 in Windows 2000? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I actually had the same problem.. and i believe in the past this problem has been discussed in a certain thread that was probably buried long ago.. How it was fixed i dont know.. what the thread was i dont know either.. perhaps someone will remember..

Install the duck true motion patch.  It will fix the problem.  Trust me.
