I have run it, as well as everything else as admin.

I now get text in APP.log:

Does this mean the driver is working, and that my issue lies with the team avalanche installer?
 
doesn't the old avalanche installer look for the old driver registry setting that no longer exists. I remember that being an issue before, and you had to download an older version of the driver and just run the .reg file that came with it.

Your APP.LOG proves that the driver is working properly, it is the avalanche installer that is holding you up. It is fixed in the newer installer versions that will be released at a future date.

Awesome, that worked great, I assumed since the reg file wasn't included that it was no longer needed.

I installed the team avalanche gui and hi res stuff.

Now I have the battle menu being black though, as well as the timer and limit bars and hp bars mis aligned, and "BarCorrectionPatch.exe" did not fix any of these issues.

So what thread am I off to next?  lol

I have been playing FF7 Remix okay up until this point.
I've reached the last dungeon where I go and fight Sephiroth. However, before I do that, I would like to go back out into the world map and explore more and stuff. When I talk to the pilot to "go on", the game says "something bad happened" and an emergency save is saved. Then crashes.

I just loaded Disc 3 and at the start its fine. Its just when I try to access the world map I can't access it. I've played fine up until this point....
Any idea?

Something went horribly wrong while it was loading cka.rsd, has this model been modified in the remix patch?
 
i've done some things to it like avatar and updating how cloud looks but just minor stuff;
i haven't touched anything other than that;
what exactly do i have to fix?
where does that model come from?
the cka.rsd?

EDIT: oh and also, when i modified world_us.lgp to the original install one, it started to work....
so im guessing it has to do with that?

EDIT2: now i'm getting a whole turn of other errors. i think its just better me just reinstalling and remodding everything;
i think everything just got lost through rebuilding and rebuilding;
now the music isn't working; the APP log is FULL of other junk....
if u have a fix, i'd appreciate it but if not, i'll just try and redoing everything; sigh;

EDIT3: okay so aali,
I did a clean sweep reinstall of FF7;
Installed the Remix 2.5.1;
then installed your custom driver 0.79b the latest version;
everything is up to date and upto par; however, ever since the 0.79b install, the music is not working right. it isn't the remastered, loooped version but its just the regular ff7 music. any idea on how to fix this?
not a big deal at all but maybe i did something wrong?

EDIT4: yep; just tested on a new computer with new install;
after remix install, the music is the remastered; newly looped; ficedula version
however, after i installed the 0.79b driver, the music returns back to the normal ff7 install's version;
just thought i'd put this out for you.
can i fix this somehow?

EDIT5: haha just talking to myself;
but the 0.79b driver comes with the plugin but in the opengl.cfg its commented out;
so you have to delete the #
it was my stupidity; sorry!

You mean the one inside moviecam.lgp? I've opened it and yeah, there is no rcketoff.cam, but there is rcktoff.cam. I have fixed it by renaming it and using the direct mode. But how could this happen? Developers' mistake?
 
Actually no, I haven't noticed any difference. But it must stand for something anyway. Can I open that rcktoff.cam with something? Just curious what is it.
 
Its the camera information for that FMV. If there are any 3D objects in the scene they will move according to whats in the .cam file.
 
That scene is just the rocket taking off....  So the file probably isn't even needed.  Not sure why it exists then?
 
Even the escape pod sequence has .cam files, I guess they exported the .cam for all the FMVs just in case and then never bothered to remove the unnecessary ones.
 
hi I love the drive,but when I install the 7.9b update final fantasy 7  starts moving really slowly. The all of the movies the menu the over world and the battle are super slow moving. They worked fine with 7.8b. I didn't deinstall 7.8b just replaced the files. I have Team Avalanche installed. plz help

This is a suggestion, but could you add a command to the config to disable those error messages like GL_INVALID_VALUE or unexpected zero count? When those pop up from time to time it just annoys me a little, especially on my laptop every time i get into a battle.

That's already possible. Add "disable_popup = yes" (no quotes) to ff7_opengl.cfg.

NOTICE: I'm the new guy, so don't mistake my lack of knowledge as ignorance: I know how to use the search option ;)

I have been trying to get Aali's driver to work on my setup ever since it was updated past 0.7.3b. I have recently upgraded to the latest version and figured out that it in fact does work, I just have to disable shaders and remove the movies from the main folder (for some reason, I can't get the driver to play ANY of the fmv's; neither the originals, custom hd ones  or DLPB's FMV Restoration Pack). I have constantly searched the forums for a solution, but to no avail. Am I the only one who has ran across this problem?

  I don't understand some things on direct mode:
1- Why can't I use direct mode instead of lgp files for normal games?
2- I try direct mode with apz Cloud but don't work, why?
3- There's a way to know if the driver loads form direct folder instead of lgp file?
4- I use direct mode with no error but when I compress in lgp file I have many error of missed files, why direct mode don't shows the errors?
