about High Res Cloud

when i use any patch of high res cloud, and patch it, the game works, but when i come to a battle right before getting to start fight, the screen freezes, i know this is caused by the patches, but why ? and how i stop it ?

i can't provide you with a screen shot of whats wrong cause i can't make a screen shot when the game hang up.
but before the battle starts .. when the screen starts to come up .. commencing with other words, its just freeses after half menu come up. and i did patch it correctly , followed every simple instruction, and yes i have Chocobo Patch, and i do have ficedula.dll in my System32 folder
and my system specs: 3.2ghz 2048mb ram Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb
windows XP home edition.
 
well, did you restore the old battle.lgp and try that first?  We need to see if this is a crash related to high res cloud, or if its just a random battle crash (which happens)

Also, whos high-res cloud patch did you use?  There's like, 2 of 'em , i think.  Both from users on this forum.  I'd say, if one's not working, try the other.
 
Remember, if you try to apply the hi-res cloud patch twice to the same copy of battle.lgp, it'll lock up like you described.
 
Well thanks for trying to help me but, i replaced the one i overwrite with original one right after i got the bug, and that one does work, but i did realize one thing, when i apply the patch to the BATTLE.LGP the size increases with like 1mb .. *and i only patched once*
should it really increase the size of it ?

I got the cloud model from Your Site (Emperor) :P
 
The file size of the patched file should be 59.7mb.  If it's any bigger, it got patched wrong, I guess.

Thanks it works now, have no idea why it didnt at first.. downloaded new patch so maybe my was corrupted
