AP points?

characters that are not in your selected group gain half the experience of those fighting, does this also apply to AP points? Should i have materia equiped on everyone?

They don't gain AP. As far as I can remember at least.

AP is in Final Fantasy VIII.  GFs earn AP to learn skills.
