At this point, I just want this all to end.  Even though I still feel sour towards certain people, I'm too tired of this to act on it.

Also, as a hardcore Sephiroth fan, I feel it is my duty to correct you.  It's "I will... never be a memory."  Or, if you prefer a translation that isn't matched to the lips, it's "I will... not become a mere memory."

That's very interesting.  I just watched that vid earlier today on collegehumor.  What a coincidence.

You've made quite a strong point there, and I take it without offense.  I just feel sympathetic towards Seifer because he has been nothing but kind to me.  But to listen to my request is ultimately Silvers's choice, and she may think me utterly ridiculous to say such a thing and totally ignore me if that suits her.  I'll contain myself and take care not to spew anything, because I know that blaming another for making me do it would be immature.

Edit: Corrected a grammar mistake in that last sentence.  I'm a hardcore perfectionist if there ever was one.

What these forums really need is a bunch of ED users coming along and seeing what one can get away with here. I'm not being sarcastic; 10 pages of Pain Series spam on every forum might serve as a wake up call to the admins.

I just wanted to say, that after posting what I consider a level-headed post earlier in this thread when asshat was still here, I fully retract any and all defensiveness for asshat in said post.

At first I admit, I thought it was just nonsensical bullying, but after reading up on what happened at TLS (I have now joined, great forum) I mean all of it - do with asshat (it took a while, I was bored) I have to say that guy is an absolute moron. Hypocritical, obnoxious, arrogant, abusive and completely ignorant. I experienced a taste of it myself when posting an opinion on the way Tifa looks. It appears he has a thing about women, the sexist pig. Something to do with modding more clothes on her. Eh, what? As Bandito so eloquently put it:-

Putting aside the useless nature of comments here and the war with Seifer, I feel inclined to post these from a topic I just noticed noticed now:

  • There are maybe five or ten different topics alive, which are endlessly repeated since people can apparently not read anything posted before they thought of the idea.

I seriously don't care anymore.

If anyone thinks they can make a difference, let me know and I'll make you a moderator. I'm tired of cleaning up this mess, if you people are interested in this place as anything else than a random crap dump then maybe you should start actually working for it.

I think that the moderating system on this board has 3 major problems:

1. I think that one of the main moderating problems on this board is that only a few of your moderators are still around here (SaiNt, Aaron, You, and me).
Some of the moderators have not been posting here for a long while, as fice, halkun, dagsverre...
This worked fine some time ago, however, in the last few months we have more and more problems in here, so you have to update your mod crew.
But I see that you've already started taking care of this problem.
I think that making Nori a mod is a good decision.

2. Another problem was that moderators are only allowed to moderate a few forums, not all. If I see some heavy rule-breaking action in the unrelated forum (where most of the sh*t happens), for example, I cannot use my "mod powers" there, the only thing I can do is giving an advise or telling another mod/admin who has the power to edit or delete posts or topics in a specific forum about that...

You maybe should think about giving the mods access to more forums, especially the unreleated one to take care of that.

And as for that "If anyone thinks they can make a difference, let me know and I'll make you a moderator." is not a good Idea. I think you (and SaiNt) should be the only ones who decide who's going to be a moderator.
After all, this is not a guerilla war, where everyone fights for his own ideal, but the moderators are (or at least should be) a crew under your control, fighting for your ideals.

3. I think there is also another point:
Once you have finished the mod crew update, then you should maybe tell your moderators what you expect them to do in critical situations.
This would be a help for us moderators to enforce the rules, and if we know what you expect from us, then we can also handle a lot of problem for you without being afraid to be too rude.

This doesnt change the fact that the Moderators here WERE responsible for letting things get out of hand, because they should have at least had the decency to post a comment or two.

But it proves a very good point or two about this forum generally, should anyone care to actually read.

Posting here is probably tad counterproductive now, as it only seems to make this thread get longer and longer...

But, everyone who still thinks that we were too mean to the poor bastard, and you know - wound him up - should go read this. You should read all of it. Really. For example, the part where he figures that trying to hack a mod account would be a good idea.

TLS mods split the topic, thus the previous links will be pointing to the old one.

For the massive lulz, if nothing else. Too bad you didn't get to see his pr0n spamming - I did - it was very fitting to his character.

It's not like me to do the 'Told you so'-thing, so I won't, but I suspect few people who left after him might see him in a new light.

Nobody has been banned. Otherwise the said account would still exist.

All three of them have left on their own volition.

...unless this is some newfangled method of banning I've never seen before.

I highly doubt Koral was banned.  Mr. Adults and Seifer Almasy both left.

I agree with Bandito that posting here is only going to be counterproductive.  This'll be my final post on this thread.  Let the situation be left to one's own judgment.
