I had bit of spare time, so I decided to do some comparing. So, without a further ado... Mirror mirror on the wall, which console has the most rabidest fanboys of them all?
I used the following method; took the top 20 list from Metacritic for PS2, PS3, Xbox, 360, Cube, Wii and PC (which is not a console, but I included it just for fun) and for each game I first multiplied the *User* score by 10 (basically making it comparable to the Critic score, since the former originally was from 0 to 10 and latter from 0 to 100). Then I subtracted the critic score from the user score, which leaves me with a positive number if the users voted the game to be better than the critics, or negative score if the users thought that the game was worse than what the critics thought.
Like this: UserScore * 10 - CriticScore = Difference.
Lists are as follows, first PC:

As you can see, on average users scored each game 9.25 points lower than critics. I really should have removed the most extreme differences from each end - as you can see the Out of Park Baseball score is obviously an anomaly of some kind - but I'm too lazy.
PS2

Almost identical average difference to that of PC.

Very slightly larger difference, and most negative user reviews of this comparison. Surely fanboys of competing platforms couldn't have anything to do with that?

OMG! The difference has halved! I wonder why? Anyway, NFL2K3 is being ignored in the average, as it has not user review average at all.

Hmmm... pretty much the same difference than with Cube. Are critics harsher with recent games? Or fanboys less so?

ZOMG! There's almost no difference anymore! Obviously critics must really, really hate PS3 games. Surely fanboys couldn't be pumping up the user review scores?

OMGWTFBBQ!?!?! User reviews actually exceed critic reviews by 2.05 points. Oh, how the critics must hate the waggle...
So, there's a rather obvious trend of fanboys voting recent games up, but even more obvious trend of fanboys voting Nintendo games up. Remember, this is the same crowd who posted tens and tens of pages of messages when one website was crazy enough to give the latest Zelda only 88 points. The same people who posted death threats to those threads.
I think that it's pretty obvious which console has the most rabid fanboy following.
