Can you even apply to be anything on 4chan anymore? It's been a while since I was there but I don't remember seeing mod or janitor sign ups/applications ever. I thought you just had to be lucky and know a friend who was already a mod/janitor.

Someone from an East Asian country (he didn't say which) asked why Europeans make such a big deal about Muslims in their countries compared to Americans, Canadians and Australians. In addition to pointing out to him that immigrant nations will inevitably have a different reaction to outsiders than Old World countries, I told him that Muslims/Arabs/South Asians tended to be the largest and most prominent/vocal minority groups in a lot of European countries, whereas in places like the US they have been overshadowed by other minority groups such as black people, Hispanics and Jews. Having read that thread on plus4chan, I assume that I was auto-banned for saying "Jew". The board software no doubt thinks that any post with the word "Jew" in it must be "Herpa derpa Zionist conspiracy Israeli apartheid state Holohoax with j00s you lose Sieg heil, Sieg heil, Sieg heil".
Only tangentially related, but I had some really good news this weekend. One of my housemates is a Polish Neo-Nazi, a man who regularly expresses his desire to 'cave in the skulls' of any 'traitors' who feel Poland shouldn't seize the Ukraine by force. A man who gets visibly excited to talk about a 'new revolution' sweeping across Europe, a grassroots rejection of multiculturalism and revival of hardline migration policy (bizarre, considering he's an unemployed migrant himself). A man totally oblivious to everyone's visible horror at his violent, naked anti-semitism.
Polish Nazi, eh? It's rather strange that a Pole would adopt a philosophy that sees him as racially inferior and that sees his beloved country as nothing more than Lebensraum for Germans, but I suppose that there's no accounting for stupidity. After all, there are even Israeli Nazis.
