Best Final Fantasy Song

Not really into final fantasy music but I like FF8 Eyes On Me. Whenever I hear it I feel sleepy. :D
 
It depends what mood you're in tbh, Nobou's done a varety of different stuff (Although he isn't responsible for the entire FF series, He's the main one for most of the games I've played) and as have the others. I'mma go ahead and put To Zanarkand out there as the best, though. I learned it on guitar, and Every time I get through it without mistakes, I'm like "...wow".

If you're in a calm mood, I also reccomend Breezy and Crossing Those Hills

I have a lot of favourites though, and I can't be here naming them all all night, Got an exam in the morning  :P
 
I forgot about crossing those hills. Been a long time since I played ff9. Its the best worldmap song for the final fantasy series. Good Luck with your exam! :)
 
I have to agree, I like the song Eyes on Me from FF8 as well. Heck it even played in the Olympics and I used it as my final in beginners drama class (I know I'm a guy, SO WHAT! It's an awesome song! and was easy to memorize.)

Oh God, the memories of FFX-2. I actually downloaded that and real emotion and stuck 'em on my iPod!
 
i'll likely get flamed and etcetera but i gotta go with the most chosen one i think, one wing angel (not the metal one from ac)

I can't argue with you. :) If its battle music we're talking about Final Fantasy 7's boss music sounds the best.

Oh damn, forgot about that one! I was definately in a calm mood last night, I think.

Man with the machine gun from FF8 is another good more up-beat one.

Oh, Oh, and The Dark Messenger from FFIX is epic.
Also the Decisive battle from FFVI. That is one of my favourites of the entire series, despite never having played FFVI.
 
My favorite from FF7 was "A Nightmare's Beginning", but the best FF song in general would probably be Seymour's Theme, I would play that song to EVERYTHING.

EDIT: Eyes on Me is good but it makes me want to cry.
 
There are some brilliant tunes, personally I think Main theme for VII ranks as the best. There are tons though....

Another one I like a lot is Anxious Heart

I like Anxious Heart too but its my 2nd favorite song.. :)

You mean "Lazy Afternoons"? I definitely liked that one as well :P
Actually there are loads of other ones for Twilight Town. "Sinister Sundown", "The Afternoon Streets" and "Working Together". There are two regular tracks and two fighting tracks, since you play as two different characters in Twilight Town.
 
I like J-E-N-O-V-A, and Cid's theme the most i think. Changes all the time :-P

If Kingdom Hearts does count, i like Dance to the Death and The Encounter :)

oh yeah man, cids theme was so pumping, always made me feel like i was going off to dominate a battle field (which, in ff7, you pretty much do all the time)

Well actually the songs in FFX-2 is the only thing that I liked in the game. Did Nobou Eumatsu also made the songs in FFX-2??
 
Nope, Uematsu was replaced by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi.
