black screen

just installed, and all i get after the intro movie is black screen... can anyone help? thanks.
 
goina have to be more specific....u instal on vista or xp? did u use the 1.02 patch?
 
vista... and i'm not sure what patch... truth is, i prefer playing on consoles for this exact reason, but since my console is 6,000 miles away... i thought i would try this.   -_-   the only game i play on my computer is WoW and i never have any problems with that...
 
When you come to the black screen press the menu button, then exit the menu.
There will be no sound until you leave the area.

i just installed on vista recently as well and had same problem. first i installed with the help of this:

then i believe i still had the black screen thing. but if u install GyptInstant with YAMP (search on here for Yet Another Multi-Patcher) and use the ctrl-D buttons to restore the screen.
