I downloaded the mods I wanted, as well as Bootleg, set it up, configured it to what I want, downloaded additional mods for the mod list, and started it. It failed (cannot find ff7.exe). The mod list in BFE isn't missing anything, and I don't know why it can't find ff7.exe. I'm using Windows XP. Here are the windows with my Bootleg configuration and then what happened:

The install image cannot reside in the game folder.
Don't specify an install image.

Do a fresh maximum install of the official US version of Final Fantasy VII.
Run BFE and leave the "FF7 Install Image" line blank.

It seemed to work, but the game is horribly slow. I can't even get past the "New Game/Continue" screen; it just shows up dark, and gets slightly brighter every ten seconds until it is (supposedly) normal...but frozen. Below is my APP.LOG file. Are my laptop's graphics card and CPU too old again? x_x (Processor: Intel Pentium M 750, 1.86GHz.) I also disabled shaders because they failed to load (just as they do with merely a plain FFVII installation with Aali's OpenGL driver).

Your system may have difficulty running a fully modded FF7.
The video card is especially out of date.
Try reducing the game resolution.
Close any other open programs before running FF7.

The hardware is definitely below the recommended specifications for running a Bootlegged FF7.

Thanks. I'll just deal with the plain FFVII with self-edited spell names.
