A small improvement can be obtained by sampling the PSX videos using a high quality video filter (I used VirtualDub and Smooth HQ as filter) and then replace the original PC files with these ones. Unfortunately the resolution cannot be changed thus limiting any further attempt of enhancement.
What I always liked about the opening video for FF7pc was the fact that the music was included inside the video, tricking the user into thinking that the game was working perfectly with non-ugly soundfont music.
But the problem with this approach is, that the quality of the audio stream inside the PC videos and thus also the quality of the title music is pretty low.
