I kind of like Aeris better the way see looks in Crisis Core from the original version (all that pink she wares in ff7 is just… well too much pink :|) and since I haven’t seen anyone making a cc one I decided to give it a try. Now I see that the guys in the “Ultima espio and neocloudstrife Crisis core model project” (who by the way are doing a great job ) have import her in the game as well but since I’ve been working on mine for some time now I thought of making a post of it here too. Although I have modified some models of the game before this is actually the first time I ripped and extracted one entirely from another game so it took me quite a while until I’ll be finally satisfied with the finishing result. I have currently finished the field model but perhaps I’ll start making the battle model sometime later. I wanted her to look in game as realistic as possible so I didn’t change anything in her body parts analogies, I just made sure she has the same height with the original one and then I resized the bones to fit the body parts instead. It might need a few finishing touches but considering my limited modeling experience I think it turned out quite well. Any comments and criticism are welcomed.

Looks pretty good to me, but what did you do to cloud's model? it doesnt look right if it's AC styled.

haha i was thinking of doing that too but on her different model..when she was 15..hehe its nice to see that it looks good ingame tho!hehe

you mean in that brief flashback of when aries' mother talks about her childhood?

yep! i think it fits there coz that model of hers has a younger look!

You reckon you can help us out?  We are trying to remove Cait Sith and have a model made....  but can't import it...

We particularly need someone who can turn this: http://www.sendspace.com/file/smrzoj into a battle model and field model in Final Fantasy 7.  He is made for the purpose of replacing Cait Sith, but he is to have the same skeleton and animations as Vincent.  This was previously my job, but I underestimated the difficulty of the task.  This character is to be colored by textures that can be downloaded here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/mzdc5n

There is no rush and any help you can give now or in future would be welcome.  Shadowseer trued his best but it was harder than expected....

hey can you show her in battle too? i wanna see if she fits fighting in that outfit! :-D

That’s a KH2 AC Cloud but I didn’t make him. What do you mean he does not look right for AC style?

I haven’t finished her battle model yet, but as soon as it’s done I’ll post some shots in battle.
Btw did you fix your Vincent’s problem?

At the moment I’m working on something else, perhaps I’ll have a look at it in the future but I can’t really promise anything.
However if you want to try it yourself you will find all the instructions you will need in this tread:

Also check your link for the texture file. It appears to have a problem.

Wow!  That looks perfectly imported!  What's the secret??
yes
Double yes.  Seriously, with other models you can clearly see the different parts that make them up.  With this Aerith, she looks just like she did in CC...  :-o

He's right, i didn't notice at first but now that i have... HOW did you do that? Please share, it would do wonders for the community

hello.

is that model of aeris complete? i'd love to have her on my ff7 as well.

great work. :)

Thanks for your good comments guys, they mean a lot. It’s not really a secret; I simply followed the instructions on Squeeble’s tutorial. Just plug all the holes, make cuts and drag up slightly till you decrease some of the gap (the parts will still be visible in some occasions, as you can see in some of the new screenshots, but at least not always so clean-cut to actually annoy). It sure takes some time till you finally get the desirable outcome but it worth’s the effort. And here’s the screenshots with the battle model along with a few more of the field one.
