It's more likely than you think! :D

Well, not actually, since I'm not going to install it just yet. ;D If it can allow OtherOS on the slim, then maybe. If it can make PS2 emulation possible (I doubt it), then definitely.

I'm not going to install it yet either. I'll go ahead and wait until he releases it :P

Yeah...well...erm....YOUR FACE!!! :D

Yeah, that's a good comeback. I still got it! ;D

Anyway, I wouldn't install it yet if it had been released :P

Heard about this ages ago.
If it means a PS2 or even PSP emu is developed, I'm all for it. Wouldn't it jeopardise PSN accounts though? I wouldn't want to be banned from PSN.

As far as i know geohotz is only making the cfw able to boot the other os. I dont think it will allow homebrew. But maybe it will remove hypervisor restriction from linux to allow access to the rsx.

Well, considering he had to reverse engineer the firmware to re-add OtherOS, he has a disassembly. I see no reason why he couldn't do that.  That being the case I say HELL YES, but alas, he said the CFW had no other features besides keeping OtherOS
