Chocobo patch for french version

I am feeling a bit nostalgique today and want to play FF7. But I am from Canada, Québec and only have the game in French. So I was wondering, is the chocobo patch working with this version. I won't even try to install it and get over there if I don't get an answer cuz it would be very frustrating if it wasn't.

So does it or not?

The Chocobo Patch should work with all versions of FF7.

Yeah, it changes like, 1 line of code or something like that.

I mean, the readme will still be in english, but mweh.  T'is hugely inconsequential.

I actually have both english and french (original) versions of the game, patch is good for both.
