LoL.. they really do look similar..

Should the neck be included with the head model or is it a different part?

JUst checked on the original..or was it by prp already ..It turns out cid battle model head includes the neck.

Alright thanks!

Can someone point me to a tutorial to import it in the game?

I like this Cid's head, but I also want Magochocobo's Cid textures to be released as well. He's really good at it, and it would be a shame to see so much work put into a model without a release.

for rayved
save it as a .3ds.
save texture as a bmp.
convert bmp to tex using img2tex
open 3ds in pcreator.
go to view uv coords. if the uv isnt there convert the 3ds in biturn to 3ds
in pcreator select the model from the drop down menu
options select battle or field
uv coord flip on y axis if needed
file open bitmap open the bmp of your texture.
edit texture id to an id. 0 will be fine for this
save it
open kimera
double click the part youre replacing.
a menu will come up
load p file
select your new head
hit apply and exit that window
adjust the position and size its better to double click and do it in that window to avoid errors.
texture options add or change the texture to the id you selected for the model

Thanks! Um could it be that you mistook Kimera for another app? Because Kimera doesn't allow me to select any part to replace. All I have is a Load and Save option.

You will need to open the skeleton file (either the HRC or the AA file, depending if you're editing the field or battle model) for the model you want to modify. Then double click on the part you want to change and the part editor will pop up. Now just open your model and then apply the changes. The new part wil replace the old one and then you just need to save the changes to the skeleton.

Good luck.

One more question. If my head appears white, does that mean the texture failed to be saved in the model file in a previous step?

Edit: Never mind I figured it out myself. I don't really understand the usefulness of the "Load BMP" step in PCreator if you have to load the texture seperatly once inside Kimera...

Aaand here's the result:

As omega said.. loading the BMP is a necessary step for you to assign tex id's..

Anyway as you may have noticed.. the model in game does not have the same shading detail as those rendered in a 3d software.. so you might want to adjust your textures a little to improve the shadings.. or maybe you can just add light effects using kimera.. or better use both methods.. It could yield better results.. ;) :D ;D

Time to get back to this. Sunday will be the next time i can work on i but ill finish anothe part or few and touch up the head
