In my opinion I second that vote...remove the logo and give the dirt a little more "realism" also give the swords a little more contrast. again my opinion.
I dunno how I'd go about making the dirt look more "real"... Is it the color or the texture that looks unrealistic? In my opinion I second that vote...remove the logo and give the dirt a little more "realism" also give the swords a little more contrast. again my opinion.
Yeah I was playing around with Aali's drivers the other day trying to get it to read APNG files but to no avail I failed...I know of a couple of great programers personally but they won't give FF7 the time of day.My idea for this submission is to incorporate it into the credit video that plays before the menu, capping it with the following (rough mockup animation)

the flash would end the video, and the still highrez background would be present inplace of the original.
Thoughts?
I'll tell you what it is. The dirt texture is fantastic, but it looks like it was applied flat. It should be distorted, put at an angle, to simulate some level of perspective.Looks much better (too me) somethings off thou I can't say exactly what...
Much better without the stones. Maybe if they looked a little more natural and less symmetrical it'd be okay. Also, have you considered having a softer edge on the light?Test render using APZ's buster sword., any thoughts, should I get rid of the stones or maybe add some more?

Larger without the stones.
