can someone help me? I have the same problem as yihsiao.

My email is [email protected]

I will send you the save file via email so you have to give your email too so i can send the save file thank you.

I fscking hate single post n00bs. >_<

I would do it for you Mr. T, But im not in a good mood...Perhaps Mark might do it for you....

This is kind of moronic...

You know, you can convert a PC save into a PSX save and play through the "bad part" on an emulator, and then convert it back. That's what I've done.

@ Darkdevil

omg, i'm a FF fan, and by the way everyone has to make his/her first post someday and this is the someday for me

i admit: i'm a n00b to this forum, but i am not a single post n00b.

If you welcome every new person like this, well then please tell me your secret you use to get new members

I could have made a new topic about my request but i didn't want to cluster the forum with a new topic, i used the search option (now that isn't something a n00b would do huh ?)

Never mind, i don't need your help anymore, i'll go somewhere else where people treat you like a person and not dog-like like you did.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, Darkdevil

Thanks halkun, i should try that (now here is a person that offers a tip)

IceT, please chill out. There's a difference between what Darkdevil said and the general attitude towards n00bs on the forums. What he meant was people that come here, register, get someone to take them past their problem in the game, and then leave, and their stay was simply to have someone do that one task for them. If that's all someone is interested in, then Eidos provides (or do they still? I know they used to) a save file to take you past that point, though it isnt a good one and you lose that personal touch to the game using a generic save.

You came to ask for help, halkun was able to help. And Im sure someone else would have even played through for you and might still if that solution doesnt work for you.

Now the question is will you prove Darkdevil wrong? Youre more than welcome to stay and post on the forums, and if you decide to, then Im sure everyone will make you feel welcome here, provided that you dont take it personally when someone gets annoyed by something that is quite honestly very annoying.

I was actually talking about yihsiao..And before you start mouthing of at me, Pehaphs you should have asked if I was talking to you.

And thank you messiah, Im going through a rough patch at the moment.  Thank you for explaining that.  And as you said, Will he prove me wrong and become a useful* member of the community

Yeah im being an asshole, bite me.

*NOT a single post n00b

Children, calm down... This insessive infighting is truning me green.

I have a feeling that when I release "Gears" on the world. Qhimm's going to be very popular. We are going to have a lot of new people who are not going to read FAQs or ask for nude paches. Whe have to learn to deal with them politely.

I think Gears is going to make a big splash with a lot of geeks....

Oh am I Mr Nice Guy or somet... ;)

Seriously though DD... I've done this many a time for newbies and it only takes 2 minutes.. it's not like it's a big deal. I'd help you IceT but I'm not at my laptop with FFVII installed atm.

Ok, people I have overreacted, i'm sorry but i'm still standing for one thing i said: don't judge a book by it's cover

And Darkdevil, i didn't want to bad mouth at you, i just like to defend myself

I admit, it's very annoying if someone registers, gets help, and leaves for good, well i'm not like that.

(sorry about my mixed up text, i'm from belgium and english is not my best language lol)

But seriously, would i do all this trouble (like posting really long posts like this), if i wouldn't stay here ?

Please do not start a flame war.

I'm not going to be a pain in the ass, but the only method i was aware of was:

A   get a patch (which i found nowhere, but i did find the chocobo patch)
B   let someone else play through the trouble spot

I will try halkun method and if it doesn't work, well, maybe i will come back to this topic

Its ok, Im sorry for going off at you like that.

As i said im not having the best of times ATM.

no problem man, your cool

*off-topic*

avatar question:  can i select an avatar from my hard disk ? I've seen it's possible on some other forums.

nevermind i found an other one  :P
@ halkun
where did you get your PSX emulator ? If possible, can you give me the link ?

i absolutely don't know how to use this thing, it says i need bios, gpx and other stuff, but i've never heard of those things  :o

and even if i knew what those things are, i wouldn't know where to find them and to be honest, i'm not the best with the emulator stuff.

maybe it is easier if someone plays through the trouble spot

i think so to because you need a psx version of the game and a bios and much plugins its realy complicated to configure it right

Hi
Yes, I know I'm a n00b on this forum; please don't flame me for it, I had a curry last night and my ass is already hot enough thanks

Just like to say thanks a lot for the chocobo patch, I used to have the game on PS1 and was chuffed when I found the PC version... it's played smoothly most of the time, but died at the Chocobo races and is now freezing at Bugenhagen's lab directly after Tifa says "Oh look, a meteor" or something similar. I've browsed all the topics relating to this problem and have tried various things including hardware acceleration, latest drivers, lowering resolution, but nothing works.... so I'd be eternally grateful (and might even buy you a pie) if you could take this save file and just put me on the other side of the scene.

Save file & email here

Yes I realise you're sick of watching Bugelbottom floating around.

FYI: XP ProCorp(no SP), 512 DDR, 2.6 Ghz AMD, DirectX9, ASUS 128Mb GForce5600 Card (latest nVidia drivers), shitty monitor @ 1024x768 (tried 800x600 but same result)

Haven't tried any of the patches yet since I only just found this site, but appreciate all the hard work put into both forum & downloads

Cheers
FLiXD

If you want to help, Fa_pa, il send you the save

sorry FLiXD, one person at a time
