Hi Cosmos!

It's me from your YouTube channel who asked about height maps. ?

I couldn't stop my curiosity since you mentioned that it's supported so I tried creating a height and normal map for the dirt-grass texture was_00.dds (replaced with a brick texture for testing).

Do you know how I should name the DDS file to make it work?
I tried naming it was_00.bump and also tested was_00_bump.dds but it doesn't work.

If this isn't really feasible yet, can you instead point me to the right direction on how to dump the vanilla textures? I'm thinking of upscaling it using the newest AI models to see if there's a significant improvement over Satsuki's upscales.

You don't have to answer this if you don't want to. I'm still very thankful for your coming up with this mod!

?

Hi all, just made a new account. I was enjoying this mod, but upon downloading version 1.01 today, I am now getting 15-20fps on the worldmap. It was working previously. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

After a week of diving into Cosmos Gaia, I'm thoroughly impressed with the worldmap rendering and analog controls overhaul. The real-time lighting and extended view distance truly enhance the immersive experience, making exploration feel more dynamic and engaging than ever before.

Hello Cosmos.

Is it posible to disable the real-time lighting? Everything was fine, but this particular option doesn´t work fine on my PC. I´ll be really grateful if you allow an option to disable the real-time lighting, I don´t want to stop using this mod.

Heya, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have had a few friends refuse to play og FF7 due to no analog controls!
I also didnt even want to play New Threat, knowing I had to deal with the old 8way controls. (Wouldnt be bad, if up was actually "up" etc)
But anyways, Ive run into a problem, and was hoping in a future build it may be possible to have some customization of which parts in the mod I could turn off?
My computer lags real bad in the world map. 2 frames per second. (running in 480p resolution as well, since i think it looks nicer) it takes an eternity to get anywhere. but if i disable the mod, i lose the analog control! ;_;

Is there a way to pick and choose some features? such as turning off/on high res textures, or load distance? (itd want to keep load distance, but if it still lags, id try to keep texture quality, and see if its ok with that next, and then both if its still lagging)
I know this is a recent release, but I hope in the future we'd get an option for this!
But thanks for being the 1st to make analog controls, its been soooo nice redoing midgar with better control! (for now, i close the program out when in world mode, restart w/o the mod, and when in town/dungeon, close out again, and restart each time...)

EDIT: IDK why, but I noticed the 7thHeaven config now made "Analog controls" work now. Before when checked it didnt actually allow full 360 analog controls. It was just the same as using the DPAD 8way. Does this mod change it, even if turned off?

I see in this thread I'm not the only one who has slowdown on the world map.

Edit: Figured out the issue. Switch the game driver to Directx12. It'll work then

I have found a different bug: whenever I enter the world map with the mod installed, I start running towards the camera. I am using a controller and can move the camera just fine, but it is a bit awkward to not be able to stop or see where I'm going.

Is it possible to use this outside of 7th? I'd like to use direct mode if possible

***SOLVED by updating 7th Heaven***

Hey all! new to the forums, have been lurking/loving the content for a while. The way this game has been resurrected is awe-inspiring and has brought many hours of joy to someone who has been obsessed with FFVII since the day it was released on PS1.

I am having trouble getting the "mesh" folder to appear. Running 7th Heaven version 3.2.0.0 and when I "reset to default" the mesh fodler does not appear. This folder also does not seem to exist in my FFVII game directory either (games>final fantasy VII). I'm playing the Steam version on PC.

Thanks for any help getting this to work!
