This looks pretty cool. I hope it works =)
Oops! Something very bad happened.Wrote crash.dmp to FF7 install dir. Please provide a copy of it along with APP.LOG when reporting this error.Write emergency save to save/crash.ff7?YES/NO
I'm getting errors in towns as well. I took the time to write what all I've tried down in notepad so here it isP.S. There were also a number of error (similarly) that occured when trying to enter the Highwind's cockpit and also when coming in/out (to/fro town?) the worldmap. There might be more![]()
So by itself AVALANCHE doesn't crash the game when entering a town. When FF7Music is used in conjuction with it, it crashes. After applying Nero's full screen start menu mod, the text no longer shows, but it is possible to enter towns with FF7Music playing. Once AVALANCHE is reinstalled over the full screen start menu, the crashes begin again, but text is visible.Upon reverting back to .7.1, obviously the fullscreen start menu is gone, however FF7Music can be used alongside AVALANCHE and going in towns is possible. My only conclusion is there is some sort of bug in .7.2 because this is the first time I've had such random crashes
Cool, I can't wait for the next release ^o^ I wonder when it'll be out? I wanted to use Nero's fullscreen start menu with 0.7.2 but with the many issues I had to hold on to 0.7.1 atm ):I've said it a number of times already, there are some random crash issues in 0.7.2b and they have already been fixed on my end.
You need to make sure that you run the registry key after ff7config.exe or it will revert to the original driver.Hey Guys Looking For Assistance....

I may be having this same issue, but I'm not sure since this was my first time installing the custom driver (so I'm not sure what It's supposed to do normally). I downloaded the latest version, and followed the installation directions in the read-me file (copied the files into the FF7 directory and ran the x64 registry patch). Is there anything else I'm supposed to do to get this thing installed properly? I'm wondering if this could also be what was causing the GUI Overhaul Beta 8 not to work.Run the game as administrator thenDone that...........

"no-cd" cracks are not supported by this forum at all, and we don't really give a damn if it screws up your pirated copy or mods are incompatible with it.'ello, my name is grizzly adamz, I just want to say that ya should put the incompatibility w/ no-cd cracked versions in one of the two posts for ff7.
^had to reinstall to fix registry w/o doin some open-brain surgery on it;for some reason I lost my saves even though I made copies, as the copies wouldn't read
cool story brow/e, sorry if I offended you somehow. But if you have an agenda about not supporting cracked software, there's no reason not to shout yer belief from the top of every hill, (in this case the very first download post). Tell off those damn pirates right from the start as the scum they are eh? As fer me, I admit I'm one o those damnable pirates, but I have 3 copies of the game already, (two ruined by the little brats I called siblings), and I didn't see a point in dishing out a fourth amount of money for an experience I already had in my head. Otherwise I make a point of buying any good movies and such, because, like you, I find it immoral to steal. And that's my pirate's bit. GHARRR
Ah, ok.Grizzlyadamz, there is no need to specify pirated games aren't supported in this thread, because it's on the forum rules.
That page is very outdated. The custom driver fixes all the issues noted on that page as well as adds any custom resolution u want.Ah, ok.Grizzlyadamz, there is no need to specify pirated games aren't supported in this thread, because it's on the forum rules.

so, as it is, I'm installing a different version of ff7 after reloading a previous backup, (turns out over the thanksgiving break that I really f***ed up the registry while bumbling around w/ ultima edition), and right now I'm going to be following the following guide: http://savvygeek.com/2007/10/05/final-fantasy-vii-in-restored-glory/
I'm wondering if I would install this patch at the point that one would otherwise install the resolution patch, (as in would this include that patch along w/ the fullscreen load screen and such)? I'm not sure what all this mod/patch includes, so any clarification there would be appreciated. (I've seen a few things glancing through some of the pages...but there are a lot of pages).
