Great news! ;D Still I wonder if its a game worth repairing my psp for.
 
This time round I'd like more unlockable characters, and battle songs.

Hopefully Cloud won't be the main hero for VII, i'd prefer someone else. Not Zack either, since they are virtually the same. Except Zack is a bit Happy go lucky.

Aeris would be interesting to represent VII. Her connections to Sephiroth are just as good as Cloud's. If Chaos can bring people back from "Sleep" I'm sure Cosmos can too.

Imagine a spinoff game based on Cait Sith - The man who works for shinra (tool) and spends the main portion of his part in the game playing with puppets... Dirge of Blue Megaphone!

Just a thought :P


As for Dissidia II, I've never played the original, as I don't have a PSP. Looking at Game guides for it made it seem rather confusing. But since I haven't played I really can't pass judgement lol. I do like the Models for Dissidia though, more cartoony. Hope they stick to that!

It's complicated and more involved than you'd expect a fighting game to be. But it's still fun and entertaining. Once I started playing it I played it every day and didn't take it out of my PSP for MONTHS.
 
Honestly i couldn't figure it all out. I guess i could have looked up some faq's or something. But i was lazy and didn't bother.
 
I thought it was quite simple :P

The DBZ games I played were a lot harder...
 
maybe this time the game will offer more even difficulty level, because even developers admitted they made cloud easier to use for beginners.

i bet they also made squall suck intentionally - his moves are so slow and miss so often that enemy with average reflexes can run circles around him.
 
Can Seifer be a playable character?

ashe, penelo, balthier + bonus yiazmat summon and i'm sold. but who will fill the shoes of the bad guy? vayne's first form (still human shaped with his 6 floating swords) might fit.

btw ff12 didn't really have a main character. story starts with vaan, but it's not really tied to him. more to ashe, and self-proclaimed "leading man" ;)

If I want to choose a character for FF12 I'd like to have Reks in his knight attire. He just looked more liked a hero to me than the others.
 
Reks was an incredibly minor character.  And not all FF characters are meant to look like heros.  Just look at Bartz, Squall, Zidane, and Tidus.

I would personally choose Ashe because she was the real main character of FFXII.  The other characters only had what I would call side stories.

Having Ashe in the game would mean that Vayne would have to be her opposing villain.  Basch would have to oppose Gabranth and Balthier would have to oppose Dr. Cid.  (Vaan, Penelo, and Fran don't have any obvious opposing villains.)
 
Lightning AND Tifa? I'll need to buy a PSP soon, it's been getting a lot of good games recently.
