I agree on the cloud costume: Does not match, looks not as well as the original.

Originality is always best (IMO), maybe that's why they changed it; try something new perhaps.

Geez, I wonder how his alternative costume looks like.  ::)

see what i'd like to see, is maybe different cloud designs for different outfits, so for the "OMG" fans we get a feminine cloud, but then we got another outfit with a "SHUT UP AND $(%*$% LET ME #(%*$# SMOKE A $(%*# CIGARETTE" cloud (in other words,a  big masculine tough guy)

So basically, we get Cid with spikier hair?
 
Cloud was never supposed to be truly manly in the traditional sense of the word.  He has some serious complexes, and they're a part of his character.
 
They still have the original outfit, it's the default one. Second one is most likely AC costume, 3rd is...that thing, and 4th is KH.

I took those shots from a cutscene, and afaik, you always have the default costume in cutscenes (i could be wrong).

As to extra costumes, found these floating about the tubes.

Damn, looks pretty much the same, just added characters. The gauges are still the same I see.

Akshually, for the HP, it is missing those diamond indicators.
 
Lightning's alt looks like Aya from Parasite Eve 3 which I guess makes sense being another PSP only game from Square.

the game is supposed to play more or less the same. there are extra gauges underneath health that indicates something about a new blocking mechanic (think how ex mode would block an attack). HP is now one bar for your entire hp (i think) and they're also breaking the 9999 hp limit so i hear.
 
From the Final Fantasy Wiki (regarding Tidus):

"His costume in Dissidia 012 shows him as shirtless and with even-sized shorts, a reference to one of Amano's Tidus artwork."

He looked ugly before, now he have to see him shirtless?

The new gauge is there to summon other characters to help you in battle.
 
OH My,Titus looks good shirtless, My opinion of Titus just went up a few notches  :-P. He is now my third favorite FF protagonist.
 
its feeling kind of weird with tifa in her original outfit and cloud in his ...odd outfit. makes for rather clashing visuals so far as consistency goes.
 
So Tifa doesn't even know who cloud is huh? Could be interesting to play through her story progressively regaining her memories and piecing together the puzzle.
 
afaik she doesnt know who sephiroth is. we have yet to see her and cloud together
 
almost reason to buy a PSP
if they werent so god darm expensive for a HANDHELD.
