Does Squall die in FF8??

from a confused and likely very stupid person,
Does Squall(main guy in FF8) die at the end?
at first it appears so, but then the sun shines.......

then the ship is flying around, is that mourning his death?
or a wedding celebration for those two ???

Raine was the one who was dead when the Garden flew over Laguna.  :)

Edit - not ship, it was Balamb Garden. By the way, you're not stupid. You're just confused.  8) Chill man, chill.

What's a Balamb Garden? A floating garden??
 
... How much of FF8 have you played? My guess is none.

A "Garden" is a school for training future members of "Seed". The Balamb Garden is one of the many Gardens around the planet.

Minor Spoiler:

It is learned, later in the game, that Gardens are actually ships of some kind, and thus, can fly.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within has got to be the best movie ever.
I do have to understand, by the way, although you prolly wouldn't understand why.
 
Jahr7:  Though it doesn't deal directly with the question you asked (well, it does at one point, but not in the same context) here's it's a pretty good thread about FF8's ending, time travel, and a bunch of other stuff.

Hey.....I still remember that day.   :wink:

Haven't had much time to do the forum board stuff of late.....Glad to see that a lot of the group are still around. Looks like the Eidos board is about to die out.
