E3 2014 is just around the bend, and it looks like this year is gonna be a big one. Y'all got any hopes or predictions? What do you think will be announced?
My predictions:
My predictions:
- SEGA announces Sonic & All-Stars Racing 3, featuring even more product placement characters and even fewer SEGA characters. Segata Sanshiro still notably absent.
- Grand Theft Auto V finally announced for PC, scheduled for a holiday 2016 release (until it gets delayed).
- The Wii Vitality Sensor makes a return, this time for the Wii U. Once again, Nintendo will go completely silent about it for an extended period of time and then cancel it.
- First footage shown of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It's just battle footage and it looks identical to a battle between the same gen-3 Pokémon in X and Y.
- Sony announces PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Melee. It's still not as good as that one other party fighting franchise.
- In an attempt to get in on the party fighting action, Microsoft announces a partnership with Bandai Namco for their own exclusive entry into the genre, Digimon Rumble Arena 3, featuring a wide selection of Digimon, in addition to fan-favorite crossover characters such as Master Chief and Marcus Fenix.
- Konami reveals that they never had any plans to do anything with Hudson's IPs, and the only reason for the purchase is because they needed to get rid of some money quick.
- Square-Enix shows trailers for Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, both behind closed doors, but it's okay because they're just footage that we've already seen edited to show in a different order, with some narration.
- Square-Enix announces a from-the-ground-up remake of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for PS4 and Xb1, with all new 3D graphics, voice acting, etc. for the sole purpose of trolling Final Fantasy VII fans.
- Nintendo: "Retro Studios is working on a project, and we aren't ready to reveal it yet."
- Another 10 minute long trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, carefully designed to show as many returning voice actors from the franchise as they can, further emphasizing as passive-aggressively as possible that David Hayter isn't in the game.
- Resident Evil 7 is revealed, heralded as a "return to form for the franchise", with a trailer showing stunning footage of cutscenes and QTEs.
- Destiny is completely absent, confusing absolutely everyone.
- 3D Realms attempts to announce a new Duke Nukem game. Hilarity ensues.
