*Edit* New problem - Tifa's Model

Hey. I cant get the remixed music. It stays as the original music no matter what i do. I have the profile set to remixed. I have the path set to "C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\mp3".


I have the input set as -

C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\in_mp3.dll

I have the output set as -

C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\out_wave.dll

Resuming - Always
Midi Device - "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW" (When i mute it in volume control, i have no music at all)

Mute midi on custom playback - checked
Maximise midi on song not found - unchecked
Emulate ramps - checked
Delay stops - checked
Obey stop - checked

Im using the original FF7 pc release and the "Final_Fantasy_VII_Remix_v2-5-1_Installer.exe"

Thing with that is you need Aali's graphics driver installed so that there's a file called ff7open_gl.cfg in the FF7 folder. Once this file has been set with write permissions, you can change one of the lines in it to allow FF7Music to replace the music:

#music_plugin = plugins/ff7music.fgp

Delete the '#' and save the file. FF7Music will now be allowed to play assuming you've set the plug-ins on FF7Music's first tab BUT-

There's a kink with FF7Music. If the music files replacing the old ones aren't named with the old in-game names then they won't replace properly. In other words, the song replacing 'Hurry Faster' (aka aseri2) has to be renamed 'aseri2' in the Ficedula MP3 folder, and so on. I've got a full list here:

But yeah, the Remix is pretty old. Ancient, in fact.
 
Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply. I actually went away with that remix mod and got the bootlegg. Its fully modded to the max and im really satisfied for the most part. Even the music is working, although i picked the OSTRe profile.

There is one thing bugging me but not sure if i should start a new thread about it. Ill try here first..

I chose the AC Style Tifa field & battle model seen here..

but she has the original model still in the field. What gives? is there anyway i can re-install that mod, or that other AC style model, without re-installing the entire bootlegg process? it takes like 30 minutes.

The AC Style model is battle-only. It is unfortunately not available for field.

DarkFaLL, if you succeed in converting a battle model into a usable field model, you could send it to me, so I can add it to the next Bootleg. Please get the author's permission if you're going to release it, though.

You can give it to me without asking, I'll need to ask anyway before I put it up for release (some mod authors don't want their mod to be in Bootleg). It only matters if it goes public, private distribution is fine.

I don't think there were any mod left out of 040, EQ2Alyza and I will make sure none is missing from 041 at least.
 
I switched to the other AC Style Tifa by "Whiteraven" because it has a Field and Battle model. Thanks for the replies.
