Error starting FF7 (system application exception)

Hello,

I bought the steam version of FF7. It runs fine.
Then I followed the installation guide for 7thheaven thoroughly and tried every possible method, including downloading and inserting new ogg music files.

Whenever I activate any mods, and press launch game, the following error message appears:

Anyone got an idea how to fix this? I tried everything in the faq as well.

I think I may have found a fix if you could give it a try and let us know please.

Right click the 7thheaven and set and set the compatibility to run as as administrator. apply and close.
Then find the FF7 exe you are using eg.. ff7_bc right click and set compatibility to run in 640x480. Don't worry the opengl plugin will override this anyway.
Next go back into 7thheaven and try launching the game.
This seems to have worked for me going to test on my tab that had same problem.

I have the same issue, that and the firewall fix did nothing for me too.
 
Yea I don't find that it is 100% effective. Usually I just keep spamming "Launch Game" and it just eventually works for no reason
