I'm using Windows 2000 and the game crashes when entering/leaving battle or moving between rooms.  and i have done all that with the Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit and its still the same its crashes  :isee:  :(  plz can  some one help me

Win2k is terrible for FF7pc. I get the same problem. I believe I fixed it when I applied Qhimm's and Jedwin's chocobo patch. But don't completely count on it solving everything. Your best bet with ff7pc is windows 98. Sorry to break it to you like that..

You could always emulate the psx version in win2k...

hmm ok:(  nopp i dont think so do u know were i can download that?

Although this is not the official site to get it, you can get it at the FFSF website. The file was originally from eidos.com's support page, but the people at FFSF took the liberty to preserve it on their page just in case eidos mysteriously "stops supporting" ff7pc. Well, it's probably not the real reason, but it's the best I can come up with. So go on, man, get it! And you'll most definately need the chocobo patch, which I mentioned above.

i have tried all that but nothing worked :( thnx 4 trying 2 help me :) bur i cant chose D3D i can only have software mode  :-?

Have you tried messing around with the checkboxes in the graphics tab? You should at least be able to get it to allow you to set it to d3d as long as you have the right boxes checked.

Just curious...what video card are you using?

Im sitting with a laptop and the grafik card is Intel(r) 82852/82855 GM/GME i think that is the name of it

I think you got no chance of d3d with that card, I would try and getting it to work in software mode and that patch wont do it so use the normal files and try the compatibility kit that others suggest.
