If you launch directly from the .exe I believe you wouldn't have any sound as 7H needs to get the VGMStream going but I could be wrong.
i had this issue after I had an original bootleg install. The only way to fix was to start regedit.exe and manually delete anything Final Fantasy related so start it as an admin then search for Final Fantasy, though yours might be FF7 as that was your install folder but you might need to do both and delete all entries and then install the game from scratch and then run the game converter. F3 searches to the next instant of the word you are looking for.
