Hey everyone. Having an issue getting my in game movies to play. I have them copied to the hd, and changed the registry path. But for some reason they just auto-skip. Any help is appreciated, thx!

Check the app.log and tell me what it says, there should be a section where it tells you about the movie files.  If you have changed the correct place in registry and use the driver it should work.

This is the only thing I found pertaining to the movies.

ERROR: couldn't open movie file: E:\FF7\Movies\C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\movieseidoslogo.avi
ERROR: couldn't open movie file: E:\FF7\Movies\C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\moviessqlogo.avi

My movie path is C:\movies\

E:\FF7\Movies\C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\movieseidoslogo.avi
-------

Something definitely wrong there.  That is the path it finds, are you sure your path is right in registry, if you are using 64 bit windows it will be in a different area to 32bit.

But even so...  I dont know how you have got

E:\FF7\Movies\C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\movieseidoslogo.avi

i am sure the path is correct. Is it because I have FF7 installed in a different directory than C:\program files ect..? I'm not usig 64 bit windows.

It shouldnt matter as long as your modpath is set to the correct folder and the data path set to correct folder, all should work as far as I know.

Does for me.

Damnit. I just got the FMV restoration mod. This movies thing is the only thing stopping me from playing.  :x

Thanks, but it was a no go. I guess i'll just have to play and hope something is figured out. I appreciate your help you guys.  :) I love this forum. I know it will get fixed. :D

somethings very wrong on your end for that to happen....  Someone will suss it though, or you :P

Until i figure it out, Guard Scorpion is about to eat it.
