FF7 HELP... cant get past the crater to jenova

There seems to be a glitch in the whirlwind maze when you have to run past the wind and the green waves.  Everytime i try to run through no matter where the waves are i always get bumped back... its really anoying me... anyone had this problem?
 
It's just not suited to run on modern day processors. Like the Bike Chase Mini Game it's super-fast... so you have to be quick!!
 
I don't remember it being any different on the playstation? the last one could be really annoying sometimes though.
 
i figured out how to get past.. i needed to change it to run quarter screen instead of fullscreen

true, last one is very annoy. When i saw the green wave disappeared then i run but got bump back. ithere is no green wave appearing after i got bumped. so couple of try and finally got through
 
Its a bug in the 1.02 patch. Changing to software mode should rectify the problemh
