So the movies play....but when it gets to the point where they have to stop they screw up?

Or..the movies don't play period?

Either way, you should reinstall the Duck Truemotion Update to ensure that the codec that plays the movies is seated properly in the registry.

i hae a geforce fx 5900 ultra not a 5600 ... lol and the vides PLAY but i can't see them only hear them.... and i've tried installing that patch for true motion adn it doesn't do anything to help

Because fx5600 and fx5900 are both DX9 cards, so I guess fx5900 also has same problem as fx5600 :P

Can you  play AVI movies with Windows Media Player? You can find AVI movie files in    E:\FF7\Movies\
(if your CDROM drive letter is E)

Maybe some other programs conflict with FF7pc.  However, you can switch back to Detonator 45.23 and see if there is any difference.

FF7pc plays the movies differently than WMP. In FF7pc, the directshow offscreen filters are disabled. By default, WMP plays the movies with those filters enabled. So maybe there is some problem related with that. However, I wouldn't count on it.

I would also condone (along with halohalo) that you go back to an older version of your video card drivers. You can find many different versions at Guru3d.com.

Usually the upsidedown patch solves the movie problem.

Or you can install that mediaplayer thing (or whatever it's named) that is in the install menu of ff7pc.

I tested one of the newer 5x.xx drivers with winxp on my Ti4200 and I didn't get any screw-ups with the movies. That may or may not conclude that it has something to do with drivers.

Maybe this is just some really bogus problem. Do you have win98? If so, try it in there.
