All thats done. The remix tracks play with no problem, its just battle and fanfare that enver play even though they exist in the mp3 folder.

Sometimes one will have to rename a file so it will show up highlighted as green for the Supported Mods list of the Bootleg Front End Program. :)

@Vex Make sure FF7Music is running in the background or use ff7music to run the whole game.

Not all tracks are read from the MP3 folder.
There are additional soundtrack files stored in other folders.
If you use CTRL+S to skip FMV's, sometimes the music won't play until you move to another scene.
Also, make sure you've properly configured your sound card using the FF7 Configuration utility.
It is possible that FF7 is playing battle sounds to a different sound card than FF7Music.

ff7music is running. All music plays fine EXCEPT for battle and fanfare.

@Vex  Have you tried re installing FF7 Music without the bootleg configurator, for example by itself?

Armorvil's Bootleg Sound Effects was stalling the install of bootleg, so I ended the BootlegSFX.exe to continue the install.. not sure why it was dragging so much, running lots of memory and 50% CPU load. After i terminated the exe it said it compleated the install? anyways it says 1443 files copied. going to make some dinner and try to play. Will edit post on progress. Anyone else have this issue?

Guys I have a problem. I'm on disc 2, after you get the Key of Ancients and you go to the Forgotten City, after the watterfall FMV and I must enter in that zone, the game doesn't advance, stays too much dark and I press several buttons and nothing happens. How do I fix this? I installed the mods with bootleg too. Thanks for your help.

Fermy,
The sound patch stalling is most likely related to Windows UAC/DEP.  This is usually an issue on Windows Vista machine.  It occurs when the game is installed to a system folder such as PROGRAM FILES or DESKTOP.   Please install the game to a NON SYSTEM folder such as C:\GAMES\FF7 and try again.

miguelfcp,
I've never experienced this  issue.  Has anyone else had a similar issue with the game freezing on a dark screen?
Have you tried loading from a different save file?

I tried without the mods and now gives only black screen after speaking to the old man in the waterfall.
I tried with those saves and the problem persist. I'd like to continue with save too.
Thanks for your help

Quick question: Does the minigames patcher work with these mods or will it break them? The minigames are way too fast for my liking and I'd like to slow them down if possible.

Have you enabled the minigame fix in ff7_opengl.cfg?

# check your driver settings if this option doesn't seem to work
enable_vsync = yes

# limit snowboard, coaster and highway minigames to refresh rate / 2, i.e. 30fps for a 60hz display mode
# vsync must be enabled and working for this to have any effect
minigame_framelimiter = on

I did, but it's still too fast. However, judging by the description, it seems to be tied to my monitor's refresh rate, so I'll try decreasing that and see how it goes.

EDIT: Changing the screen's refresh rate did nothing. Also, if I want to install any additional mods that I didn't install the first time, do I have to do a clean install of FF7 or can I just run the Bootleg Configurator again on top of the existing mods?

It's always best to start with a clean install of FF7.
Installing over a bootlegged FF7 should work but is untested and may cause glitches.

All right, thanks. And I'm assuming that there's no way to further reduce the speed of the minigames?

Arghh! spending a week on these mediafire dload links capping at 250kbs  >:( Now my last ones on the list for such wasted bandwith Final fantasy Remix installer  :-X
Anyone know anyway to like bypass the download speed limit?

Ok, judging by the help I'm getting in the help topic for Aali's FF7 driver, I will most likely have to use YAMP to slow down the minigames. Does YAMP interfere with the other mods in the Bootleg Configurator?

There are potential conflicts with the YAMP patches and Menu Overhaul.
YAMP might not install after Menu Overhaul modifies ff7.exe.

Is it possible we can make a torrent of all the necessary files for bootleg I would be willing to make one but would like approval to do so
