@PitBrat seems to have the amount of patience needed to be helpful to new members to this forum. Let us all thank him for his hard work on making sure that everyone gets his Bootleg Configurator. I have had little to no trouble whatsoever with it. Sometimes, a .rar is required for installation and it is not in the red, yellow & green mod list.

Tho I dont have the files myself, if a torrent is made for 039, I will seed it as I download and for awhile afterwards. I dont have unlimited bandwith, but I can promise a to seed at least 5 times what I download, np

I have kept the files but since I never got a response if people would be interested, until now , I never started to seed the entire set. The files I have are for Bootleg 0038, I have not downloaded the most recent additions for 0039. I do have unlimited bandwidth per month, not unlimited speed though. I can seed indefinitely 24/7 (except 1 week twice a year) unless things change here at work. If they ever do I will alert you to let you know.

I do recall seeing that some people have requested their mods not be included in a torrent like this. I would be more than happy to build the torrent and seed but I have no idea of who would prefer to not have their mods included in the torrent.

PitBrat, if you would be willing to let me know which mods are compatible with the newer versions of Bootleg I can replace those files in the torrents easily enough. I guess I would just need a changelog of sorts that relates only to addition or changes for the files bootleg uses. For example, I believe I have all of the files needed for any mod for use with 0038 but I believe there was a release for a Red XIII Model added in 0039.

The mod list for 0039 is basically the same as for 0038.
The two additional files are for Grimmy's AC Tifa and AC Yuffie models.
Grimmy requested that these model not to be redistributed.
They are broken in 0039, so it's not a big loss.

I have re-downloaded that one and eliminated the old, glitchy one. Once 0040 is out I'll try and see if that version will work on my computer since I had no luck with 0039.

In case it wouldn't happen, would it be possible to go for a manual installation which would bring in the end the same identical result?

Thank you PitBrat. I have created the torrent for 0039 and included your Bootleg zip along with the mods.

Remember that 1 week twice a year that I wouldn't be able to seed? Unfortunately this is one of them. It may be 2 weeks this time around. I have to wait for a show to end that requires every bit of bandwidth we have before I can seed. Once it is out I will post a link for the torrent.

Edit:  I have also downloaded the other 4 files you posted links to. They will be included in the updated torrent once 0040 is released.

I'm only aware of the original FacePalmer and the 4 fix packs.

Hi PitBrat! there was a fix by UGerstl which basically removed the files with glitched textures. The only legit fix is OMZY's right now.

I'm only aware of the original FacePalmer and the 4 fix packs.

But I have done exactly that and have created an archive for it at Google Drive. I'll PM you a link if you like (I am new at that - the link ends with 'Edit' and seems a bit strange to me) and you can tell me if the download speed is good and if you have any interest in supporting it for your next version.

When you say glitched textures, what you mean of course, is that they throw an error on screen. They do not, however, have any visual defect. Those screens look perfectly fine, animations, lighting, parallax layers, and all. Now its your choice whether or not you'd rather suppress that error message or throw out the backgrounds. That choice is easy for me.

I sort of made one already, although that is not its main intention. I made it just to traffic the people from my YT videos to a simple Bootleg Guide that will be updated after every release. I read this thread daily and quote any bugs PitBrat reports.

First off, though it certainly wasn't an original idea, and I think the Facepalmer project owes so much to Blackfan, it is for me the most significant of all the mods outside of alii's driver. Visually, the backgrounds were the number one issue for the PC port, and this project, which for those of you who don't understand the evolution of all this stuff is really a set of macros for fractal upscaling the fragmented backgrounds piece by piece. Pretty darn cool.

That said, are the parts of the game like the bridge in Jeunon and the library under the Shinra mansion fixed now, too? I had it in mind that those were gonna be hard to work around.

I quit obsessively going through the game every time new mods came out some time ago. I think I'll wait a year or two and then play again without trying to get everything and just enjoy it for a change.

I installed the 4 packs and corrected almost the entire game. It only remains now to relaunch FF7 Square 2D scenarios with high resolution, it is impossible today to play a game with textures as bad as the original game. Especially since the game will be ported to DX9.

The Special Cases fix pack addresses those (the algorithm won't work so I did them by hand). If players notice any others broken and report them, I'll update the fix packs.
