Just tried and the link works. However, on the game this is just the Cloud model and maybe other character model fixes. Good thing I saved the battle.lgp I had before trying this. xD
Besides this only has 262 files, while the number of files inside battle.lgp is 12397, so it couldn't be enemy models lol.
I thank you anyway though.

Hey guys, got everything up and running great, and WOW this looks good. Just a few questions

I chose the "OCremix" soundtrack by a guess, then during the music config menu later (during the bootleg install) I chose the orchestral version. For drivers I had 3 options and was unsure what to pick so I left it alone as general midi. What resulted sounds basically the same as the original game. It may be slightly remixed but its hard to tell, and definately just sounds like pure midi. What must I pick in these options to end up with an orchestral version of the original soundtrack (or something similar)?

In the config menu I chose the HDL shader option even though I don't have the newest pc but it booted up just fine and the performance is great. However it won't allow me to chose "preserve aspect" with this setting enabled. I would prefer widescreen but ONLY if the game isn't stretched out of proportion to fit it. Its hard to tell, some models look okay and some things do not. Why does this setting disable preserve aspect and what is the preferred settings for this?

Thank you! If these questions are in the wrong thread just let me know

I checked with Kimera that enemy model you wanted is in there xD
Check in that spreadsheet saying what models are what and just replace the enemy troop model you wanted not with all of em forgot to mention that sorry

Yeah but that changes my Cloud battle model and it's not just the soldier enemy model I want, on my previous installment I had most of the enemies models changed. ...I guess lol.

At least that was the impression I had before. I may be mistaken and it's just the soldiers that were changed all along.

Okay ... so.

I went through with the installation and customization options, but I can't seem to get the modded version of the game to boot fully. I got the updated hero model textures, and that's about it. What have I done wrong? Is this a common problem.

There's no section that tells you what to do AFTER installation with the Bootleg Configuration Tool.

Thanks for the help!

haven't play FFVII with the bootleg since few month

Does the english to french translation has been fixed for the  digital version of FFVII from the square-enix website?

Cause last time the translate  wasn't working (even with or without the REtranslation)

Not sure on that you need to ask pit, also though have you run kramers convertor to change the re-release to the 1997 version I believe that tool is on the big list of mods that may help as well here is the link.

http://www.mediafire.com/?yeacw1v0uf6d9av

There is also a french translation patch by square themselves you need to look it up on the mods list because it is a direct download.

Hi jinrok,

Maybe you could also try out my GameConverter.

Then you could give me also the errors in the French translation, unfortunately I can not speak French.

If you want then use bootleg, please do not use the translate function.

HI, is there a specific way to switch from the psf's to the remastered edition for hte music?
cause every time that i've tried it doesn't work and will even cut out the music altogether
i even tried it while installing bootleg but it never installs the remastered version
i would really like some help with this cause i would love to hear the Remastered version while in game
thanks in advance :D

Hi there. It looks like nowadays for some reason the cache is automatically deleted when I quit FF7. (yes I do have "compress_textures = yes" on the ff7_opengl)
But I would like to keep the cache folder after quitting the game. I do know about deleting the cache folder before trying a new installed mod and such.
Is there any way to preserve the cache after quitting the game, just like it was a long time ago? I have a slow processor so that could save me a lot of time every time I play, without watching the game break everytime it needs to save the cache. :/

I think "Added Clean Up of Cache and Remix Artifacts" and "Updated and Optimized OpenGL Mods Folder Generation" (thus since Bootleg 0035) may have something to do with it?

After waiting so long I had to find out on my own I had to disable the use of both pbo and vbo in the ff7_opengl.cfg
I guess it's like talking to a wall (Squall's words) asking nice and gently if there are any gameover screens I can replace for the old "tape-like" one, is there?
And yes, of course I searched the site by the way.
