I've had FF7 installed on my pc for ages, but the play discs were too scratched to use anymore. I found a few cds as i was searching through my endless piles and they were labeled FF7 1, 2 and 3. I'm not sure if they're for PSX or PC. If i list the folders, could someone please tell me whether they're for PC? I've tried to play FF7 PC using the cds and it says "Insert FF7 Play Disc 1, 2 or 3 and try again". I tried fiddling with the registry, makind isos and all sorts of stuff... But i continue to get that error. Anyway these are the files on the CD(s).

Root Directory:
Folders: BATTLE, ENEMY1-6, FIELD, INIT, MAGIC, MENU, MINI, MINT, MOVIE, SOUND, STAGE1, STAGE2, STARTUP, WORLD
Files: SCUS_941.63, SYSTEM

I'm pretty sure it's PC as PSX is bin or packets i think... Anyway i still don't see why it doesn't work on pc. Any ideas?

Damn that sucks... Now i gotta go on ebay etc etc... Few more weeks to wait... I've been waiting a few years lol. Oh well... Thanks, dziugo.

Or just get a PSX emulator, assuming you have a decent (not even great, just decent) computer. That could be a lot cheaper, considering you already seem to own a copy of the game.

You forgot to mention, no hangup bugs or revisions to download. And you can have as many seperate saves as you want just use more memcard files :D

just how is this any different from the PC version?  :-P

honestly, if you arledy gotg isos of the psx version, you will do better using a psx emulator liek epsxe then using the PC version. you can get super hi-rs, filtered backgrounds, and original music.  ples no stupid bike minigame bugs or the like.
