I have installed the ff7 along with Aali's custom driver, avalanche's high-res patch and ficedula (thank you btw). Whenever I run the game in a resolution bigger than the original 320x240 it runs really slowly, with lotsa lagging

Any help is appreciated

Hmmmm, well judging by all the information you've given, it seems you're suffering from Shitty Computer Syndrome, or SCS.  This is a terminal diagnosis.... I'm so sorry to have to be the one to break it to you.

My computer can perfectly emulate ps2 games so no i dont think its that  ;D

Try posting your app.log from your FF7 folder here and it may give us some indication to what is happening

You have a builtin crappy intel card..

If your display can do 1280x960 (or 1280x1024) that should work well.

when both are displayed in fullscreen, i get an error saying it needs to be displayed at original resolution.

when displayed in window mode, still laggy as hell. Thanks anyway

all in first post..

specifically for Avalanche's high-res patch:

main components, alternate materia, colored items, alternate avatar, upgraded spell effects, all of world map stuff and both of the new barret and diamond weapon's battle model

Well have you tried running it without any mods ? does it still run slow ?
You could also try a old version of Aali's Driver and see if that makes any difference, try just going back 1 version or so and see if the game plays any faster.

Yes, it runs perferctly without any mods

@beavii

I was thinking of installing that and see if it makes a difference
I'll give it a go, thanks

well have you tried using the Low Res Version of the Avalanche overhall, you are using the high res patch correct ? The high res patch is ment for computers that run in alot higher res then what your running at and that may be the cause of the slow down.

oh yeah i forgot all about the low res one... ill give that a go as well

OK, just don't forget after you install the low res one to delete the cache, if you don't you may end up still using the high one by accident.

No joy.. :( (I cleared the cache as well)

Ill try reinstalling with the remixer
