I swear, you're probably the first person to enter your settings directly from the command line since 040 was released. I'm not home so I don't have access to the code, but it wouldn't surprise me that such a bug slipped by me. At any rate, all I can recommend you is to use the BFE program to pick your settings. I'm not even sure if all the settings are covered through the command line. If you really want to use the command line instead of the BFE, I can fix it in a few days (around the 30). The BFE's settings won't crash (they don't use the same code).

Is 'FF7mod' an empty folder? Try extracting the image file in that folder and removing it from the settings (it's not required), then try again.

I have a questions about the BFE front-end.

First, is it really necessary to run BFE and install all of the mods -every- -single- -time-?  If it installs things, then...I mean, it overwrites the files, right?  That's a long process. I must be doing this the wrong way and there's probably a Minor Mistake Marvin meme in my near future.

Secondly, the second time I ran BFE and had it install things, the FF7 music installer threw a 'installer corrupted, invalid opcode' error, though the music was definitely changed in-game.  I changed the music pack to the Anxious Heart tracks and got the same error, though that's what's installing now and I haven't listened to it yet.  In a similar vein, the enhanced movies threw a 'part 1 is missing/has parts missing' and 'part 2 is missing/has parts missing' error, and the intro video after selecting new game didn't seem to change.  All of my mods in the listing are either green or yellow.  Edit: Also, after the second install, there are no sound effects.  I think, maybe, I hear them very softly, but turning the music volume down in the option doesn't actually change anything, so I can't tell if I'm just imagining it.

Last, if I really do have to run this installation process over for every session, is there any way to trim the fat?  The Facepalmer mods are all listed yellow, for example -- 'not needed in this config' -- but they still seem to get loaded.  If I moved them out of the folder, they went orange, but other 'yellow' mods turned dark-red meaning I needed them.  They're like Shrondinger's Mods in that I both don't and do need them. =-=;

Yellow can mean that you have another version of the same mod around, so this particular version is not needed. Right now there is no way to shorten the time needed for the installation; if you plan to change your settings every 2 minutes you should look into 7th Heaven instead.

Installing Bootleg over an already-Bootlegged install is not yet supported. This can yield particularly weird results, and we decided not to support it due to this. This might change in the future.

I don't know about the FF7Music installer, that would be Covarr.

Regarding the parts missing, it just means you don't have the mods and it skips it. Fairly obvious.

Where is your game installed, which version is it, where is Bootleg, where are the mods and which OS do you run?

Hi I installed today the Mod 3-4 Times for the first time with clean Install and everything. I Read the Faqs a lot of times watched Videos and and and. I get following error or crash when i try to start FF7 the screen wents black and i hear a Loud: Beep from my speakers. This is the App file:

hey guys found this in my log

[00000000] INFO: Original resolution 640x480, window size 1920x1080, output resolution 1920x1080, internal resolution 1920x1440

which explains why my screen is zoomed up and cut off at the top right.

How can I change the internal resolution? i tried in the bootloader but after I updated to latest aalis graphics driver I can no longer write to the CFG file. What do i need to enter into the CFG to manually set the internal resolution? I also manually reverted back to version ff7_opengl-0.7.10b but i can't save changes, however editing the file manually works.

I want to set it to 5120x3840

Cheers

ok reverted back but I still can't get the screen centred properly unless i set output resolution to 0x0 which uses the native resolution. when I try my windows resolution of 1920x1080 the top and left of the screen are fine but the bottom and right are cut off.

There are only 105 known existing page and it is very difficult to read all of them to know what his problem so you must put another publication explains all the possible problems and solutions

Sorted my problem out turns out I can only run in native resolution or 1280x720. For some reason 1600x900 and 1920x1080 cut off bits of the screen.

I have read somewhere that the DPI can have a negative influence on this.

im having troubles with the aeris revival patch. ive tried 3 different installs. one with steam and twice with the OG 1998 disks. each time trying different option combinations and i cant get her to come back. im using the latest bootleg 040. twice i played from new game to her death and the third time i started from a save point in the forgotten city before taking nap right before her death (too late maybe?). any help would be appreciated.

When I try to run the game converter (I bought steam version), it say: unable to locate registry keys, please reinstall ff 7 properly.
What should I do?

What version of the game do you have?

Impossible ... I can not translate complete game with bootleg in Spanish (When using the Steam version and 2012 remastered version, original of course) ... ulgp.exe missing, missing Sprinkles.7z directory ... If I put this directory manually the program removed. Anyway, I managed tinkering here and there, leaving the texts of the game in Spanish, but the menus, and other texts battle continue in English ... While waiting for the new version that corrects the change of language from English and Spanish. Still, good job!

Hello,

1. Install FF7 into C:\Games\FF7
2. Create C:\Games\FF7Mods
3. Unzip Bootleg040 into C:\Games\FF7Mods\Bootleg040 directory
4. Once you custom your BFE, define your directory on Installation Window from BFE.exe
5. Make a mod list and check if the whole list is green and yellow only if not choose specifacly from Tifa patch DLPB gave. Once you done click on Run Bootleg. That exe will first check if u have the origin FF7 before start to backup you FF7 file.
6. Ignore Note bloc windows, just close it.
7. FF7Music dont forget to uncheck Run
8. Until now it s easy

No music:D
