Sound test works fine. The sound effects work fine in the game, just not the music.

I also tried running the game after doing the sound test. Still no music.

Edit: Okay, I think I may have fixed it, maybe.....I went into the FF7 root directory and moved the FF7music folder out of it so that the only FF7Music installed is the one in the Ficedula folder. I'm thinking maybe I was supposed to uninstall FF7Music before installing a new one, eh?

Do you have a folder in your game install directory called ficedula? Do you have another folder called ff7music? If you have both try deleting the ff7music folder. Run ff7music.exe from the ficedula folder after and make sure the profile in the files tab is set to OSTRemastered.

I see you didn't notice my edit. I figured that out just about 20 seconds before your post :D

As for the profile, I'm not using OSTRemastered music, I'm using the AnxiousHeart music. Thanks for the little kickstart I needed to figure it out, though :D

Hi

I have a few questions, don't know if they have been asked yet. I did skim the pages before but didn't see it. If it already has been answered I apologize.

I have the steam version of Final Fantasy VII and I have been reading lots of comments that the mods made for the original pc release break the achievements and even might break the game. Can you either confirm or that or do you know it to be the opposite. I know the music files are in fact just a matter of copy and paste so I suspect it shouldn't be to much of a problem if the files are properly named and looped but when it comes to an installer I want to be sure before using and/or recommending it.

The installer. It comes with a readme that says the following "Make sure you select the New FF7 game in the installer". The music setup there, is that the same as the DLPB'S selection and does this also counts for the OGG only zip? And can users still adapt those files themselves?

If the installer can be used by steam users without problems, would you mint if I host those for steam users on my 4shared for those that don't use torrent programs. I have downloaded both packages and will seed them for a while as well myself.

Thanks in advance

Whizzy :-D

It mentions compatibility right there on the first post.
It mentions compatibility with 2012 version. I don't think most people are aware that the Steam version is identical.

It's probably also here in discussion just a few pages  back, but I'll update first post, even though they will still ask.

Great work! I am so excited about this! For the 2012 version of FF7 for PC, is FF7music.exe required or can you simply replace the ogg files the game comes with with these ones?

Download the installer and use.  You can choose 2012 version in it and locate the correct folder.

I had no business asking such a question because I don't even know ff7music.exe is or what it does, I admit. I can't wait to install this! I adore the FF7 OST!

This is really awesome. I love how you can select the tracks and mix and match from the OST, fan versions, and other professional versions.
