Hello there!

This patch seems great. But seems other version than english cannot use the patch. Why? Reunion, can you please make a non-check version? The spanish data are slightly different. But the graphs are the same. Can you make a .ffpatch version? Hands patch works wonderfull...

my problem still isnt solved i can only use the patch if i change the new char.lpg to the old one
 
Will i have to start a new game to apply this patch?
and is there a version of this patch where you can get the older model of cloud (the first version battle one)

No, you don't have to start a new game. You can just apply the patch. I did - I was playing disc 2 halfway.

And as for your other question, there is no such version like that - and you'll probably have to ask Reunion about it.

Yeah, i mean menu_us.lgp
 (the "real" name is menu_sp.lgp, but i renamed like that to fit english FF to able Hight Resolution Patch
 
Im curious - would it be possible to turn the dogs on the field to the ones in battle.?

Dogs, meaning the wolves, and the dog-like creature that teams with Rufus when you fight him.
 
yes, it's possible.  hell, you could replace the dogs with guard scorpions if you really wanted to.

Thing is, Dark nation is a tiny bit mroe catlike than doglike.  And dark natiosn running around the steets woofing and whining would look rather stupid =P

All right.. here is a question did you rescale the hirez cloud model to fit within the same dimensions of the cloud field model? Same with the other characters.  I'm certain the game will have walk mesh issues if you don't.  Also some scenes might look.. odd :)

As for what's happening there the only way to find out is look at the field script data that is causing the characters to pose.  I know the textures for the field characters are different.  Maybe someone ought to make an image without the patch to compare it.

A suggestion is to allow the 'patch' to be reversable.  Might be handy for debugging some scenes.

I downloaded the patch and set it up and love it so far. I havnt left the world map yet to see if it works there but I will eventually arive. Also if you have trouble getting to certain area's why not just keep two copies of the char.lgp, one that is the original and one that is patched, so if you have issues then just copy of the original, get to where you are going and then just replace the patched file.
 
I played through the game until the first save point in the slums with this and even though I love their level of detail, those new models simply don't fit into the surroundings. And since the whole game was designed to suit the original,  super deformed proportions, a realistic approach will probably never quite cut it.

Just hypotheticaly speaking, how about models more in the air of FF9 (SD but detailed)?
 
I also like the SD aproach Cyrus XIII, but it looks like that there is a lot more people (Reunion, for example) who likes the realistic one. If you want SD models, you can try using a little tool I posted at the Programming feedback forum. The FF7PC field model resizer lets you change the size of a model and make it SD-like automatically (don't expect the result to be very acurate, though). Try playing with it a bit. It's simple. You have also a nice FAQ made by ice_cold513 in the pack.
By the way, I've been very lazy lately :-P. I'll try to release 3 more models next week.
 
Just a short question from a total noob.

Do Reunion or Borde have their own sites dedicated to this project?
 
I've been here for a couple days and from what I seen I didnt notice reunion having a dedicated site for this patch. I had to scroll through I believe 11 pages of forum to find the updated download link for this patch.
 
I don't suppose you could post the individual files so i can pick and choose which ones i want to replace, could you?

Hi guys.
I have just installed FF7 (German) on my PC and downloaded the 'Animevamp 1.02 German Patch' !  Everything's good, everything works but the patch doesn't. How you can think, i have other files than you have in the english version. There it is not ****_us, there is ****_gm . So i did all right (I'm sure), all what's written in the little tutorial of Veclord, but i get this when i want install the patch:

I beg you, i want to play this game with this high res textures/graphics and could someone do a little change of the patch for the german version. I'm not good in speaking english, so sry for this. It would be very nice.

Mmmm... that's strange. That message meaans that the file has been modified. Maybe that Animevamp patch did it. I suggest you to try Reunion's patch before animevamp's one.
By the way, I don't know if Reunion has a dedicated page, but I don't. Sorry.

No, i had the 'Hand Patch' and cause of this it didn't work.
Now all works fine, thx for help. I hope a new version will come soon.
There are many bugs with the patch, that must be fixed.
