[FF7PC] ice_cold513 Sephiroth Patch (Beta)

You got to note that the download on here, is for the beta.
V0.9 is still in the close testing stage, me malach! & some people we picked are testing it.

squeeble the sephiroth in the picture, is not the one in the patch just the Sword.
 
Long time viewer, first time poster.

Anyway, I don't know if you've added it, but as of the patch on the OP, this has not been added.

If you use Cosmo you can switch the sound the swords make.  From what I tested, 17 is the generic sound that Cloud's sword makes and either 338 or 373 is Sephiroth's sound.  I'm leaning towards 373, but I haven't heard his slash in a while.  It might change a bunch of other attack sounds in the game, but I though it was neat.
 
Hi    Im back  ,   greater than ever :P  hey i try this patch its great but i have only 1 problem for now... its when i do the braver limit , most of the time my ff7 crash do you know what i should do

Sorry its me again   i have another problem.... when i begin my new game (with the NPC reconstruction patch and this sephiroth patch) to the point when the "Bombig Mission" is supposed to end,  it continue and when i have a battle the "Bombing Mission" dont stop but when i win the battle the fanfare begin but it does bot stop.....

ps: FF7Music is NOT installed  at that time

edit:  I think the problem is with the TextPatch because i have done test with reinstalling the game ant play until the bug appear but it does not bug but after installing all the patch NPC and Sephiroth and the text patch i text and it bug  i hope you can help me

Hey GS, the exe was in the beta was done badly.
Yeah i have seen that Braver limit crashes the game
Have to wait too the weekend for me to start work on the V0.9 patch

Model's are all white    Fixed

when the model white fixed there a error on the model

Shinra Sword 42 is Shinra Sword 50
Heaven's Cloud is Shinra Sword 42
2 Orc Swords
Orc sword is name Bokken
bokken is the Rune Blade
Bug in the souba sword
darth maul masamune bugged

I have a problem with the 1st part of the installation of the Sephiroth Patch Beta:
when I run Sephiroth Patch.exe and choose the FF7 directory, the program says chocobo.lgp is an unknown version.

I have original FF7, not ultimate version or what it's called.
I also tried to reinstall and tried to copy directly chocobo.lgp from the install cd, but didn't work.
I installed the game, sobstituted ff7.exe and ff7config.exe with the v1.02 versions, and applied the NPC Recontruction Patch v0.6

Any idea how to solve this?

EDIT: Solved... NPC Recontruction Patch simply skipped chocobo.lgp and world_us.lgp
Dunno why... ^_^

This mod doesn't work with High Resolution Patch, does it? Playing 640x480 is damn lame :P
Well, I'll backup ff7.exe and give a try anyway.

Good work on this mod! I can't wait for the complete version!

Sorry for W-Post, but this is about a different thing.

Are the changes on ff7.exe necessary for this Sephiroth Patch? If those could be avoided, then the High Resolution Patch would probably work.
Playing 640x480, even with antialiasing 8x, is quite depressing... Sephiroth in hr would be much cooler!  :lol:
 
Forgot to say that the new patch will have High Resolution Patch support
and a mod folder so that it will all run without editing you ff7 game

My graphics card dead, running in safe mode cant work on the patch till i get a new one

I've registered for a bit of help...

I downloaded the Sephiroth patch, and the NPC reconstruction thing, and installed them in the correct order etc,
and Sephy shows up in the field (walking around and talking to people) but not in battle... :? In battle Cloud shows up


Do you guys know what I've missed out/done wrong? I've tried re-installing everything twice, and followed the instructions carefully but he still won't show up  :-(

I'm sorry for the n00b-ish question, I've probably overlooked something obvious... you guys have done a great job with this patch, its been amazing so far :D

I've seen this question posted a few times before but nobody answered, so if you get the time to reply I'd be really grateful :D

Have you used the 1.02 patch from Edios?

If not, that's the probelm. The patch updates FF7.exe in order to get the battle model updated.

the first time it said that, I moved the ff7.exe file onto my desktop to get it out of the way, and the rest of it updated OK (like Sephiroth appearing and walking around/talking)

Hi there....

I'm a hard die fan of Sephiroth. Even when I'm plying FF7 in PC, I never use Cloud as main character. Using some Sephiroth patch with little modification, I manage to make a true sephiroth field character by replacing Cloud.

Recently I found a codes in kernel.bin file which enable any characters can equip masamune sword. Right now, I'm still searching a codes in the kernel.bin file that make Sephiroth invincible in battle (no damage induced by any attacks). Does anyone know which codes can make Sephiroth become invincible in battle?

I'm afraid I can't help you... the only thing I could suggest is the YAMP patch by dziugo (makes limit breaks go over 9999) to power up his attacks.

btw how did you get your Sephy to work in battle? Mine shows up as Cloud still  :?
 
Actually, it is still cloud. But I made some changes to the character movement meaning that I had change all Cloud's movements with Sephiroth's movements. As for the results, the Sephiroth's (Cloud) attributes look like real Sephiroth. Still, I wonder why the real Sephiroth in battle cannot be damaged by any attacks from all monsters?

What sephiroth patch are you using- the high resolution one (by ice_cold) or the one by scorpius?

I might install scorpius's patch as I can't seem to get this one to work...

Are you using any of dziugo's patches such as YAMP or the Hi-res patch from Saint?
If you are, then you need to get a clean FF7.exe 1.02 and then apply the Sephiroth Patch.
 
Ha..ha..ha.... :-D I think there's misunderstanding here. What I mean is I want to know the codes that make Sephiroth invinsible in battle during Cloud's flashback in Nibelheim. Anyway, can someone tell me how to upload a file to this forum? I want to upload a char file which I made some modification so that everyone in this forum might want to try some of my work.

Nope, I tried instaling them after I re-installed the game- but I've given up now and I'm using scorpicus's patch instead, but thanks for helping anyway  :-D
