This mod replaces various music themes with music from the Remake/Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, most notably REMAKE, INTERGRADE & REBIRTH.

Features:

  • Each story scene includes cinematic music throughout
  • Each game location plays unique music
  • All enemy/boss encounters contain unique music
  • Every area of the world map has its own unique overworld & battle music (Save game in new location and reset to load that area's music)
  • Chocobo races outside of story events feature random music every race. Each can be toggled OFF to remove them from random shuffle
  • Songs with multiple music choices are denoted with an asterisk*
  • Currently complete through end of Rebirth, although ALL other story events after feature area/battle music (I had more music to choose from than existing areas in the game) ;D

Mod Notes
REQUIRES 7th Heaven & FFNx v1.22.0.0 at minimum. Latest stable release preferable.
7th Heaven with FFNx can be downloaded here: https://github.com/tsunamods-codes/7th-Heaven/releases

At this moment in time, Version 2.0a is NOT compatible with Enhanced Stock UI, Echo-S, New Threat or Shinra Archeology Cut.

Compatability with gameplay mods requires me to manually edit between 400-700 files EACH. As many of these mods are in active development and update semi-frequently, I cannot keep up with their development to update this mod every time they update theirs at this time. As such, for now, this mod is compatible with vanilla FFVII gameplay only.
This mod is still compatible with the 'New Threat 2.0 Combat Only' mod, since it includes no story changes.

I think this mod sounds incredibly immersive, especially with unique music for story scenes, battles, and different world map areas. I love how much attention was given to making each location feel distinct through music choices from the Final Fantasy VII remake series.
