[FF7PSX/PSP NTSC-U] HEROES v1.0 HQ Seph/Cloud swap

Hi everyone! HEROES is finally out! To put it short, this brings everything to the PSX that hasn't been there yet:

- Higher quality Field/Battle models for Sephiroth and Cloud on the PSX!
- complete Sephiroth patch with a full role swap with Cloud in field and battle and on the worldmap
- Sephiroth executing all of Clouds battle animations including his limit breaks and wielding both Masamune and Cloud's
  weapon set!
- all dialogue fixed and fields edited accordingly!


Additionally this includes a 9999 breaker and a KERNEL.BIN and SCENE.BIN overhaul, new spells, mdef bug fix, adjusted boss fights and a few new items and materia are included!

-SINGLE PLAYER COMBAT-
While this is mostly a drawback for having a hq battle model and having a battle model doing Cloud's limits and animations it is actually pretty cool and puts the focus on Sephiroth! All fields and boss battles have been fixed to work properly this way. This means that there will be other characters in Field but all battles are handled by Sephiroth alone and the game is balanced out for that. Also Phoenix Downs heal your HP now.

I only had to give up Vincent and Yuffie but Utai is still working and the pagode can now be climbed and conquered by Sephiroth!!

So far I do unfortunately only have the disc 1 ready but I'm working hard to get the other two done as well. Just use a fresh ISO of the NTSC-U version and apply the ppf patch using ppfomatic 3.

This may not look as spectecular but the whole process of learning how to mod the PSX version and get some slight graphical enhancements out of it is about 2 years now, this is the product.

-minor fixes, if you have the original version please load the updated one and make a new ISO

Replacing playable characters is one thing, but doing this for NPC is really a lot of works, so good job :) even if, like you said that maybe doesnt look spectacular like some graphics PC mods, the work to success this is not even comparable, and certains players (like me) prefer modding and playing on PSX the original games

Im still surprised how impressive is the HD model of sephiroth,its look even better than ff8/ff8 characters

What are the difference between virtual and physical version? Did you inclued the motorcycle new model aswell?

Nah I didn't get this done yet. The difference is the model of Cloud in battle during flashback. For emulator I used the one you see in the video with blue coat and the former animations of Sephiroth. This model crashes on physical consoles thus Im using the standard Cloud model there.

I am sorry that this takes so long but disc 2 is critical with all the leader changes and the scenes where cloud ain't even present.
 
I can vouch for that mees as I was having trouble getting the party members to be the leader as I assigned them to be and have them attached with the dialogue and that was pc version granted with me going a step further.  Now guys imagine what that can be like on the psx.  I feel for you mees and hope you can get it with few relative problems.
 
I have a Sephiroth FF7 PC mod. And I wonder how do I get it only in the battles? Which files need to be edited and which use programs?
 
This thread is for a PlayStation game mod, not the PC version. And please don't crosspost the same question to two threads like this.

Of course, Im hopefully done next month. I could have already finished it but atm I have little time for modding, gotta make sure I'll pass all tests for university.

the game froze when i tried to battle air buster on your mod

3 party members showed insted of just showing sephiorth

Whoops must have happened when i updated it the last time, im terribly sorry. Ill look at it.

FIXED

When you pointed me at the issue with the invisible characters during the scene where you must have all characters simultaneously press the buttons to open the door to air buster I accidently created this new problem. I played through the whole first disc on a phyical psx, there should not be anything else. I solved the problem so now youre good to go, have fun.
